Very comfortable here! The rooms are about 550 square ft but laid out very smart with lots of storage. Pantry, above and below cabinet storage in kitchen, Microwave stored above countertop, one compartment Full size sink. Plenty of lighting, ceiling fans, door between bedroom and living room for privacy. Big bathroom, room for wheelchair, shower with built-in bench, wide doorways. Two walk-in closets: one in bedroom as expected and one off the living room with several shelves that is big enough that I use it for an office! Bedroom has a door to the outside with a small patio. Pets are allowed. Built in dresser/chest. Housekeeping staff has been helpful. I was allergic to something they cleaned with and they worked with me to figure out an alternative. Great attitudes too: Kendra and Kathryn! My med aids are Cheyenne, Alicia and Carli. Hard working. Great attitudes. Professional. Keep me on track with my meds since I am not able to. Cindy is a hard working receptionist with a positive attitude and eye for detail. "Sunshine" Candace is a ray of joy and also a hard worker with a positive attitude. Sandra manages the kitchen with professionalism and is a great cook. She makes the best meats ever. Meals are a little heavy on the carb side, but taste good and we all love carbs. Tammy is the hardest working server EVER!!! She has a positive attitude and is so pleasant. Scott is the maintenance man and jumps right on things that I've needed tending to. For me, this place is HOME!!!

Beautiful place to live, but the staff is horrible! No air for 45 days, no assistance for showers, no communication...very sad to receive this kind of care when you are sick...lack of staff and rudeness...

You will be sold on this place at first. The woman we spoke to was like a car salesman and sold us on almost everything. Too bad that was all a lie. My grandmother has to fight to get a bath at least once a week, sometimes once every 2 weeks. They do not take out the trash or clean the rooms. The AC goes out and they leave the elderly to die of the heat.

I have talked to people who have lived at Sand Plum who liked it, as well as those who had relatives lived there who were very pleased with it. The place was very clean and they had lots of activities for the residents. They had true 1-bedroom apartments, with a living room and a bedroom, and they were reasonably priced. The menu and food were very good. They had Bingo, arts and crafts, and a thermal suite where you could go and sit in a tub of hot water which was really nice for aching bones. Thye also had a beauty shop. The person who showed us around was personable, very friendly, and she knew what she was talking about. She was very helpful and caring.

Residents did not have air for several weeks. Apartments would reach 90-95 degrees. Still the common area such as dinning rooms and lobbies are not air conditioned and reach temperature of 98 on hot days. One resident went 3 days without her bathroom working before the administrator called a plumber. Residents fall constantly due to lack of staff to assist on 2nd shift with getting in bed and lack of staff on weekends. Medication Aides Fail to order medications need such as heart medication in timely manner even though they know that the Residents pharmacy does not deliver the pills for 3 weeks and recommended refilling prescriptions 3 weeks before needed they also fail to document falls just because they don't want to do paper work. The Activities Director is AMAZING, Goes above and beyond to make sure all residents are cared for in a timely manor and the activities are good that is the only good thing in this facility they have the same meals every week as well.

We have chosen Sand Plum. My wife will have round-the-clock care, and they will administer her medications, make sure that she is fed and bathed, and take care of the upkeep of things that she needs. They have some entertainment and different activities going on. They had a singer in one day, plus bingo and little activities in the hall. My wife has only been to a couple of things. They provide shuttle services to and from her doctor. My wife also does dialysis, so they are providing shuttle services back and forth to her dialysis appointments. The staff members are very helpful and try to help with every need. I know they have several other clients there, but they have been very helpful, and make sure that my wife is being taken care of.

Sand Plum was an older facility with single rooms, and single bathrooms. The staff I met was very pleasant. It was just too far away, but the rates were reasonable.

Sand Plum is nice and clean. The staff is phenomenal, responsive, and very kind. The rooms were average. The dining room was nice and open; it allowed the residents to mingle more. They had a card room and simple activities. It was a great option for most people.

We visited the Sand Plum facility while in the South Tulsa region looking at options for our uncle. He requires memory care, and this facility was recommended by a friend who lives nearby. The quiet and peaceful area seemed like a great place for anyone who really likes the natural beautiful there - which our uncle does. The rooms were all clean and had a honey decor. The spaciousness was nice, too -- nothing looked too cramped or crowded. There are plenty of staff to see to the safety of the residents, well. There are plenty of activity rooms where residents can play games, cards, interact with each other and enjoy themselves in many ways. The one and two bedroom suites have gorgeous private patios - suitable to enjoy alone or with guests. Each unit has safety buttons and a sprinkler system. The dining room was lovely with many appetizing menu options. The snacks are offered around the clock, as well, and feature healthy and delicious options for residents whenever they like. The calendar was full of many stimulating cultural, recreational and social activities. The staff was caring and kind to everyone that we saw. We could see that many positive personal relationships had been developed here and that it is a great place for any senior to live.
