I visited here recently and was overwhelmed with the love and joy the residents and staff express. So many smiles! While I could not interact (most were deaf) I could wave a "hello" and smile. They waved and smiled right back. The staff were wonderful showing me around! While the rooms were dated, they were clean and there was no smell or odor. We did not eat there, but the food looked good and residents in the dining area were happy and eating.

My friend is a patient at this facility. She is not properly cared for. She was supoosed to have her blood drawn over the holiday. They told her the lady who does the blood draws wasn't there. She was. Her levels continued to rise. The food they serve their patients looks like slop and isn't good at all. The elderly is treated poorly. Meds are given late. I would not send my loved ones here if someone paid me to.

The CCEC caters to the elderly deaf, both of which my grandparents were. The nursing staff and support staff of the nursing home facility were top notch and very responsive to all residents needs and concerns. They were also very knowledgeable about how to effectively care for my grandfather during the end stages of his Alzheimer's disease. They were able to deal with his frequent breakdowns and mental lapses and also his occasional aggressive behavior in a very calm and tame manner that did not demean him in any way shape or form. They were also very responsive and patient with any concerns or questions that we had as a family. In the assisted living facility where my grandmother currently resides, the attitude is much the same however we have had much more limited contact with the staff here as my grandmother is much more functional and independent thereby requiring less contact between us and the staff. From the limited experiences we have had with the staff here, we have still been quite impressed with their demeanor and calm manner with residents.
