I was at Solivita of Echo Manor for therapy. They were very friendly, but I got to where I was answering call lights for residents because they were so short staffed. There was one night that all the lights were on, but people just wanted the lights out or a blanket though, so I helped. It was a clean place. I liked that you got meal choices. The activities were awesome. I would participate in the crafts and some planting that we did in our little pots. They had a good activity coordinator.

This is not a good place for your family The place looks ran down dirty rooms is super small Most the patient share rooms and it’s not really enough space for one person and they will have 2 people some rooms have 3 people My grandma have bed sores real bad from being in this place it needs to be shut down now The family was visiting for a couple hours not one nurse came in the entire time to check on her

MY AUNT WAS THERE FOR LONG TERM NURSING CARE. SHE DID NOT RECEIVE NURSING CARE WHAT SO EVER. SHE HAD A BED SORE THAT REQUIRED HER TO BE MOVED OFF OF HER BACK EVER HOUR OR SO. NO ONE MOVED HER, THEY LET HER BECOME SEVERLEY DEHYDRATED TO THE POINT SHE WAS TALKING OUT OF HER HEAD. DIDN'T KEEP HER CATHETER CLEAN - ENDED UP WITH A UTI. THE INFECTION SO BAD IT IS NOW IN THE BLOOD STREAM AND HER HEART AND SHE IS NOW IN HOSPICE!!!!!!!!

I normally don't write reviews but I have to save someone's family member from this place. My father was placed here and almost died. I had to stay on them about little things like brushing my fathers teeth or giving him a shower. He had lost a tremendous amount of weight, which I believe from them not feeding him consistently. The last straw was when my father wanted someone to call me and when I got there he was gravely ill, no one there called an ambulance or was worried. I had my father transported to the nearest hospital where they admitted him and he had to undergo emergency surgery. If I could give this facility a zero I would, if you love your loved one I would bypass this place

If you love your family member, do not decide to have them stay in Echo Manor for long term care. My father was there and it was a nightmare to attempt to get information from staff. They were always short staffed, didn't have a future care plan for him and didn't make medical appointments for him. Once I made an appointment for my father, some staff were hostile about it. Another doctors office yelled at staff at Echo manor telling them it was their job to care for the patients and make the appointments. Worse, upon my fathers discharge to a new facility, it was discovered he had a pressure wound in stage 4 that went all the way to his bone. He needed emergency surgery within 12 hours of his placement into the new facility and now he faces amputation of his entire leg. I regret my father had to endure the hell of living in this facility and he will never be the same.

I would not recommend this facility to anyone. This has been the absolute worse experience for my mother. Most of the nurses do not have clue as to what's going on. My mom has been waiting for over an hour because of the staff's failure to communicate with one another. She is in a wheelchair, on oxygen and has a tracheostomy. When I called to complain I was told if I want to go get her I am free to do so. They seem to not care at all I am looking to move her as soon as possible!

If you truly love your family member, DO NOT TAKE THEM TO ECHO MANOR!! There is a total lack of knowledge in the end of life care. The staff from the top to the bottom have no idea what the differences are pertaining to dnr-dnrcc and dnrcc-a. The doctor on staff is also uninformed and does not honor the family wishes or decisions that were made ( and legally filed). There is also a extreme lack of hygiene among staff. They do not wash between rooms after handling patients. My families experience here was horrible at best. We brought up our concerns to staff members, only to be ignored. STAY AWAY at all cost!!!

Echo Manor was nice. The people were nice and polite, and they tried to show us everything. There was nothing derogatory about it. It is just that when you see a Cadillac, you're not satisfied with a Chevrolet. When you come in they have their therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy, and bathing. They come take good care of my wife. They don't have someone to come in to do her meals because we were the one to do her meals. It was just about the same with the other facility we visited. We were thinking about transferring her to a different place. But there was no upgrade or benefit to change. But when her insurance wouldn't extend her coverage, that is when she went home. The people were polite. Everything was kind of ordinary. They were kind of small. They have two beds to a room. There was just hardly any space and it is a bit crowded. It was the same thing as my wife's previous facility. The conditions were almost identical.

Echo Manor is a quaint, secluded nursing home tucked away from the surrounding suburbs. It has a very "New England" feel to it. For the envoirnment that nursing homes lend themselves to, I never experienced a problem with cleanliness. Visiting was very loose and accomodating, the people who worked there never seemed bothered by your prescence there, indeed geniunely happy to see you at times. Sizes of rooms, though in my grandfather's case shared with one other patient, were more than ample. Socialization of patients was also encouraged as much as reasonably possible. The biggest flaws of the place as I remember was the universally disliked food the patients were served and a floor plan to the place that was confusing and inefficient. That being said, if those are the worst things to worry about in a nursing home, you take it every time.

This facility took care of my great Grandmother for three years before she passed away. The staff was so friendly and helpful! They always treated Grandma with respect and sincerity. When our family, who is numerous, visited, they made sure we were comfortable and were happy to share the details of her daily life with us anytime. We had complete access to her medical records and doctors/nurses that took care of her. Grandma had heart problems and required very little care at first. However, throughout the years, her care needs and med needs increased. The staff responded accordingly and took great care of her. When she passed, she left her estate to the nursing home so that they would have continued funds to help assist other patients. I've been back to visit the staff in the years since Grandma passed and feel very happy to see that the high level of quality care that was shown during my Grandma's stay has continued on.
