I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother has been a resident for over a year, and I visit her on a regular basis. The facilities are always clean, void of the typical "nursing home" odors and ambiance. The staff is always friendly, easy to work with, and respond quickly to assist with any needs my mother may have. The rooms are nice, and well cared for, and all the aides and nurses are always friendly and kind to both my mother and me. They are always open to questions, and respond quickly to find the answers if they don't know. I am a pastor, and I work with four different Assisted Living facilities on a weekly basis, and see how they are managed and care for their residents; I would not hesitate to recommend Tuscany Gardens to any of the residents in the facilities I work with, should they need a higher level of nursing care.

My dad moved to Tuscany Gardens Nursing Homes. It's all really nice right now. It's clean, and it's very homey. We can put anything in it that we want. Most of the staff has been very friendly. They have a few activities like bingo and friendship time. They have a library and a barbershop. They also have cable and phone. The dining area is really nice. The food itself looks good, but they can't season a whole lot of it because they can't use salt and stuff. Their rates are just as good as everybody else's.

Really nice facility, very clean and bright. The rooms are private and have their own bathrooms. Staff was very kind and the therapy girls are amazing! Would definitely recommend for rehab!

DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVE ONE THERE!!! My mom was only there for 6 hours and was found UNRESPONSIVE! She was only 58 and was suppose to make a FULL Recovery only was going there for Rehab. We will figure out what you did Tuscany Trust and believe that!!! The Nurse that called to tell us she was found unresponsive didn't care at all I actually think she may not of even been the Nurse she said we couldn't wake her up. The facility refused to call my Dad or I back.

PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS FACILITY FOR YOUR LOVED ONES! My best friends' Mom was only there 6 hours and was rushed to the ER due to their negligence. She was unable to recover from her surgery and her injury and is now no longer with us. The nursing staff and Executive Director did not even want to return our calls to help us understand what happened. This was a horrible experience and I would never recommend this facility to anyone!

The rooms are pretty standard. The rehabilitation part has electric type hospital beds. The residents have manual crank hospital beds. Residents can bring in their own furniture and decorate their rooms the way they want to. The average call time in my opinion is too slow. It is around 20 minutes (I have timed them myself). There is no way in the facility to differentiate an emergency type call vs a non emergency call. I do believe they are short staffed as far as nurses aides. There needs to be a back up for Lisa in the business office. The staff that I have encountered is nice. Especially in the 500's. Shannon is awesome. The food is ok. There seems to be activities as well and therapy dogs are brought in as well. I do like it that if medications are changed or something changes, you are given a phone call letting you know what is going on. I have eaten lunch with a few of the residents. The residents that I have talked to like it there.

The staff is rude my friends call light was not answered for 20 min. When I looked down the hall 3 people were at the nurses station doing nothing Peggy is very short with certain patients. Then you hear her complain when certain call lights are on if you can't be kind to everyone you should find a different career would you want your friend or family treated the way you treat people.

My father has been in rehab at Tuscany Garden for about a month and a half now. It's a beautiful rehab. The dining area was very nice. They were all wonderful. Other than therapy, my father doesn't participate in any activities.

My mother was in long term care at Tuscany for 3 years. My siblings and I thought she received exceptional care. She had a beautiful room; the staff and administration was very friendly and helpful; the food was very good and planned to Mom's needs and taste. The nurses, unit manager and aides were all very nice and caring. Any problem that we had was immediately addressed and taken care of by the staff. The rehab section is top notch. I think families forget sometimes that they have to be proactive concerning the care of their loved ones. The ladies in the activities center were very friendly and always encouraged the residents to participate in the many activities. It is a very clean facility. We have not hesitated to recommend Tuscany to our friends.

My father was here for ONE DAY! I saw LPN and aids go in and out of patients rooms without washing hands! Rude DON, will never go back!

I am so disappointed in the care that my grandmother received in this facility. Yes, it looks nice from the outside, but it is very deceiving. The care that my grandma received was in humane. The nurses let their patients sit in their own feces for hours and rarely check on them. Thank God for Hospice because they made sure she received what she needed in the last few days of her life. I would never recommend this facility and wish I could give their employees less than a 1 star rating. Despicable!!!

Everything was very nice at Tuscany Gardens. The only issue was, I guess, a lot of times they would run out of some of my mom's prescriptions. Not that I really want to complain about it, but maybe they can figure out something better for that because I know there were a couple of times either it would be hours away on getting her medicine or she would have to wait till they can get it from the pharmacy the next day. And that's kind of a big deal. I'm not blaming the nurses for it. But other than that, everybody was always very nice. It seemed like it's clean there. It's huge. I got lost. I don't know how many different styles of room they have, but I know my mom was by herself in the room that she was in. They looked very nice and very spacious, enough to be comfortable. The food, well I guess, I know that they can't cook the way that we cook at home. I know my mom would want more seasonings. It was very bland. She never really complained too much. In the cafeteria, they always seemed like they have different food than what they serve the rooms, so it was more of a variety. They were very helpful, and they made sure that you understood, and they were very caring. They did have the front door where you would have to buzz in after a certain time, but I was able to go in and out as I pleased. And I did like the fact that we were able to take in my mom's dog. As long as it's on a leash, we were allowed to take her dog out to see her, which I think really helped her too. I think that was a really good thing. I liked that a lot.

We're waiting for a bed at Tuscany Gardens for my brother. Everything is clean, no smell, and the whole facility is nice. The staff is friendly. They provide recreations for patients, too.
