I was on the Rehab side of the facility and it was the pits. The staff was extremely shorthanded and I very rarely saw anyone. I was rehabbing because I had had major back surgery. They were supposed to change the dressing on my wound and that was a joke- half the time it was never done. I ended up leaving there with a wicked infection in my surgical site from this place and the lack of care- I was almost septic and required another hospital stay and surgery because of it. I had a shower in my room and it took me 4 days of being there to get a shower. Meals were another thing- sandwiches, salads, and that was about it. The Assisted Living side of the house had baked chicken and stuffing- we never ever was offered anything like that. And the head Doctor- what a joke- I never ever saw him at all- couldn't to this day tell you what he looked, like, but he sure did bill my insurance. The only, and I mean only shining spot in that whole facility was the recreation people- they were absolutely awesome- 20 stars out of 10 for them. As for Orchard Villa itself- I'd give it a -20 start out of 10. Do NOT subject your loved ones to this facility. PS: they do half-ass charting, just enough to get them out of the weeds.

I visited a relative down on the Skill unit and the Unit Manager Rebecca, left me with unanswered questions. She didnt know anything about my mother and she been on the unit for almost 2 weeks. The DON was NOT friendly at all and told us, we can take her out if we wanted. I later went to discuss other issues with the DON and overheard her in the office with a couple other workers saying "this place is a joke and I wont be here long" that made me upset to my stomach and turn around and walk away.

My mother is currently in this facility and I have been totally upset mist of the time when I go in there. She is so raw from laying in a wet diaper fir hours at a time and laying in bed on her back most of the time. She is 85 years old and has limited movement and needs help with things and does not get it until they decide to come in. There is one male aid he is amazing but he is not around all the time. So I would not recommend this place to anyone. Also this is not only my opinion a certain dr agrees with me!

My mother stayed here for a few months following a hospital stay for her COPD. It is located right off of state route 2 in Oregon, OH. The grounds are well maintained, and the interior is always kept spotlessly clean. There is a central dining hall that all the residents must eat at. They do not allow residents to eat meals in their rooms, which I feel is a good thing, as it gets them to all socialize. The staff there were always pleasant and helpful, and only needed to be asked once if anything was needed. Out of the multiple places my mother has been in, this is definitely the best. They always took great care of my mother.

As a caregiver to someone with COPD, I spent a lot of time in the different facilities in Oregon. Orchard Villa is by far, the friendliest, the cleanest, and the only place that I would allow a repeat stay at. They cared for the entire person, not just the illness.
