The turnover in staff there is insane! They've had several different administrators in just the past few years. They are so short-staffed that, prior to visitations being banned due to the pandemic, I've had several people visit my loved one there. There was literally no nurses or other staff members in the memory care unit (a locked unit). They weren't in other rooms and responded to no calls, call outs; visitors walked the circle even calling staff as if it were an emergency. On a few visit, a nurse entered the unit while the visitor was there and had no clue that they were even present. Their records are not kept current and you have to watch how they keep your loved one's money on record yourself. I also found out that right after I moved out of state that the facility lied to me about transporting my father to his nephrologist and neurologist for appointments. They provided me with false reports of him doing well during transports and visits when in all actuality, he hadn't seen either in over 3 years!!! The Drs. received lab reports from the facility and the dialysis center. However, the facility either cancelled appts scheduled or said they would reschedule and never did. It was only after I called them out on it that they somewhat attempted to correct the situation. I have been repeatedly lied to about who was transporting my loved one to dialysis and back. They kept switching companies and then claimed that they had their vans fixed and were doing the transporting themselves at one point. I found out that they had gone back to the very company that left my loved one at the dialysis once for hours with no phone call or follow up. They also decided once not to even come and get him to take him for treatment, with no prior call, apology, or rescheduling. My loved one has been discouraged from walking (and he could do just fine) and made to sit and scoot in a wheelchair. He can still walk, but now it's not as well as it was when I first moved him in. As his memory is now essentially gone, the level of care that he receives is getting worse. Due to the pandemic, the nurse from new facility can't even go in to do an initial evaluation. So, I can't move him until the ban on visitations in nursing homes is lifted. Keep Your Loved Ones AWAY from there, if you love them...

Since I am a nurse by profession, I see everything they do not do or provide at this facility. Basically, they charge $10,000 + per month to put a resident in a room and bring a food tray and medications a few times per day. They claim to toilet residents with dementia frequently, they do not. The food is unappealing and does not seem to be nutritious. They do not have services for dementia or memory impaired residents. I could go on but it is basically abysmal. Spend your money or your loved ones elsewhere.

When I come here I feel like family. I don't feel like this is just a nursing home. Everyone treats me so well and is so kind. I will always come back here for my rehabilitation.

My husband was at Kindred for 10 days after surgery for a new knee. Everyone is so friendly and kind - smiles everywhere! Helpful, loving nurses, aides, and therapists. We can't say enough about Crystal and the rest of the staff. I would tell anyone to choose this facility.

I don’t think Kindred would work for my mother in this case. The staff was straightforward and accommodating, and it was a very clean facility, but the care there was pretty much equal to the other places we’ve been to and I think the price per day is a little high for the care you get.

Kindred is an outstanding facility. The facility is very inviting. The staff is very professional, attentive, and caring. The food is excellent. My friend was a resident for approximately 20 days. She received excellent care and support. We were truly happy that she chose Kindred. I will recommend this facility to anyone who are in need of care.

Stratford Commons turned out to be a wonderful facility. Mother has been in there for a month now. Right now it is private pay but she will go to Medicaid next month. What I like best about this facility is that, firstly, they really seem to take good care of her. Mom loves her room and she thinks that everybody there is very nice. Also she thinks the food is delicious. As far as activities, I know that she has gone to church and to some musical activities, but basically she is in therapy about two or three times a day and that already takes a lot of her energy and a lot of her time right now. Nevertheless, I would absolutely recommend this facility to others. We have been there for a month now and so far, so good. They even let us decorate her room however way we wanted. The facility is kept clean. It is also quiet. It is in a clean industrial area but it's very pleasant. It is all grass and trees outside and it is landscaped nicely. There's a beautiful waterfall as you walk into the facility. They also have a central courtyard outside so in the summertime, patients have a chance to use that. This courtyard is visible from all the rooms that face that direction. They also have a little shop there called The Main Street Café which is opened most everyday. The people who live there can buy like little ice cream or something and it has a kind of a parlor effect, which is really cute. It gives you somewhere to go when grandchildren come. There are other rooms that you can meet with with the family and they are very bright and smell good. Regarding service, the things that are important to you are being done. They change all of my mother's meds and she seems to be doing much better on them than she was on the meds that she had before.
