Great physical therapy department. Separate weight lifting and restorative area. They strive to make healthy and new menu choices. Nurses are very knowledgeable and good bedside manner. The activities department is open to patients suggestions. Dental and Vision services provided. Social workers to talk about concerns and needs. Full service laundry department. Very friendly and knowledgeable admissions staff.

Very poor care, understaffed. Residents spend most time in beds with tv and table that pull over beds which encourages even more time spent there. My sister was there for weight loss, no dietician on staff at least at that time so they ate horribly. She actually gained over 100 pounds during her time there. She was more self sufficient before entering the facility because they didn’t have enough help to get residents to the bathroom so they had to go in their adult diapers. My sister had not been outside for months except for 2 doctors visits. My parents called my sister to wish her a “ Happy Memorial Day” only to find out she was in the hospital on life support!!! They said all of our phone numbers were incorrect!!! Not possible. My sister died at age 57.

Horrid experience. Poor care. Residents expected to have bowel movements in their pants instead of being toileted to help because of being so short staffed. Cussing and fighting allowed between residents at meal times. Staff are all related and cover each others poor care. They have large beds and chairs for bariatrics but no healthy meal choices, or support groups.like you would expect.. This is not fit for your qorst enemy.

Our family friend's experience was not so good. During the first week he was there, his social worker discussed moving him, but he decided to stay because he knew one of the physical therapists. It took a week for him to get a bath and he had to clean his own bathroom before using it. I tried to keep in mind that he was very picky about cleanliness, but he shouldn't have had to clean the restroom. There was one aide who was there 3 days a week and he knew her from when she was a child. When she was there, he had very good care. He couldn't do anything for himself for the first week so he needed alot of attention that he did not feel that he got. After the first week, he was able to do a lot more for himself and he didn't complain as much. However, he said the first week, he "thought he was going to die there". He was probably emotional and that contributed to how he thought he was being treated. Overall, while we were there, we found the staff to be very nice. The home was clean, but old. The staff seemed to be a little overworked so that might have been part of the problem. I also do not know if the staff became frustrated with him. Overall, the home did not seem that bad, but based on his experience, I would not want to stay there.

I had my great grandmother living at Windsor Lane for quite a few years and in that time, my family and I became quite familiar and comfortable with the staff and residents. My grandmother used to get a kick out of talking to the younger, bariatric residents, and they were just as sweet and respectful right back to her. I couldn't have asked for a better environment for my family to have used for her and if the situation, God forbid, ever comes about again, I would use Windsor Lane for my family again in an instant. Thank you Windsor Lane!!
