My in-laws have moved into Eventide Sheyenne Crossings. We chose this community because that was in their own community and they're from West Fargo, and my father had stayed there before in the TCU unit and so he preferred to go there. Also, they happened to have an opening. Eventide Sheyenne Crossings is very nice. It's very easy to get to my parents' room. Their room is on the first floor, so I like that piece. As far as the amenities are concerned, it is very clean and very easy to access. Everybody from the receptionist to the nursing staff, they're friendly, approachable, and very helpful. I've looked at menus and I've asked my in-laws, and they are very happy with the choices and the meals that they've been having. I have seen the calendar of activities, and it looks like they're trying to be very active. They have moved into assisted living, but we chose it because it has memory care. After all, my mother-in-law has Alzheimer's, and she may be transitioning within a year.

This is a great facility. Some strange things happen though. Items keep disappearing from residents' rooms such as money, jewelry, electronics, etc. Have no idea where the stuff is going. Visited with admin many times and they don't know where it is going either. Been happening with many residents and involves thousands of dollars of items. Food is great but sometimes can be undercooked a bit but some folks like it that way. Many residents concerned but I am sure it will correct itself over time.

We went to see Eventide Sheyenne Crossing's memory care. We were eventually going to have to put my mother-in-law on Medicaid, and they don't take Medicaid because they're privatized. It's a very nice and pleasant facility, though. The room looked like the same kind of room that any memory care facility has. It's not a huge room or anything; it's just an adequate room for their clientele. The grounds they have are very nice. They keep it up well. The staff who assisted us was very pleasant as well.

My father moved into Eventide Sheyenne Crossing Memory Care. The place is very well kept, clean, and the receptionist is very helpful, very pleasant. The social workers, and the admissions staff are very helpful. They answer all questions if you know what to ask. They are absolutely great. I would say the room is fine, it's nothing special, but it's adequate. He's been in physical therapy, and I know that they made him laugh, and stuff like that. As far as outside activities, I don't think he's taken part in any of it, but I know that they offer two different things every day. They have bingo, they have therapy dogs, and I can't complain at all. I have not been in the dining area, he's been eating in his room the entire time, but he says the food is OK; he really likes breakfast. They give them the care that he needs.
They have serious issues there and have gone down hill.

Before you put your loved one in the West Fargo assisted living facility at Sheyenne Crossing, you should know they have some serious food issues there. In addition to the food not being edible and not catering to a "senior diet", my mother recently found two pieces of glass in her food in the dining room and had to spit them out and cut her lip. Also, in the last few months no one responded to the Emergency assistance button when she was ill. It was a good thing my sister lives close and could take her into the emergency walk-up clinic. My mother has been there for over six years and the place has gone down hill every year, but her costs keep going up substantially every year.

The Eventide community is highly unique and very comfortable. The is a senior living community that is attached to a skilled nursing facility. This is nice because during the harsh weather days loved ones who live in the attatched appartments can visit their loved ones without ever leaving the building. The staff are incredable with the way they care for the our loved one. It is comforting to know that when I leave I can count on their safty and well being. This is truly the most comforting with this who process.
