My mom has been a resident of Touchmark At Harwood Groves for a year now. They are great. The staff is very good. The accommodation is very nice. Hers is a one-bedroom apartment. They have activities. They got a club place and exercises places, and they play cards. They got a pool, too. They have a courtyard, but it's not very big. I would recommend them.

Touchmark at Harwood Groves was very accommodating. It's a beautiful facility. There are lots of stuff. I just need more care than they had available. It was extremely nice. They have both independent and assisted living. They don't have nursing home care, which is about what I need now. It was very clean and well-kept. It's an active community. There are lots of entertainment. They had a healthcare exercise area. They had to order off the menu. They had a bar. They had various trips and entertainment. Their accommodations for rooms were extremely nice, well-kept, and well-equipped. The staff was very friendly. The residents were very friendly. In the facility, they have order off the menu type of eating facility, so it's sort of like a restaurant in-house. They did not have a grocery store in-house, but I did see people walking by with deliveries from the local grocery store that was nearby if people could get around. The campus is quite large and I think they have garden areas, etc. They had two or three dining areas. They had a smaller one if you wanted to host something or a smaller area to eat if you didn't want to be in the larger area. They have a regular menu for all the meals, but you could also order off the menu if you didn't like what they were serving.

What I liked best about Touchmark at Harwood Groves was there are a lot of amenities. They had a heated swimming pool and fitness classes. I found that to be a nice benefit. It's a very nice facility, but double the price of all the other places that we looked at. My father wouldn't use all those extra like the gym and the pool and things like that and you're paying for those services. Instead of doing it ala carte, the total monthly cost would have been almost double what we're paying now. It's a wonderful facility. The staff was absolutely wonderful and very welcoming. They invited us to have lunch, showed us multiple different units, met with us in a private kind of setting, showed us all the pros and cons, what people like and what they don't like, and offered my dad a wheelchair because there was a lot of walking, to make it easier for him to get around. The food was good. It was a good portion size, the temperature was right, and they wait on you like in a restaurant. They probably had by far the best assortment of amenities.

My mother will be moving into Touchmark at Harwood Groves. It was very nice, modern, and large, and the food smelled excellent and looked good. The facility smelled good. The people were very friendly. It was clean and they have a lot of services to offer. The services that would be interesting to my mom are a chapel onsite, a beauty salon onsite, a PT room, and a swimming pool onsite. They have nursing care if you need it, meals, and housekeeping. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

We found Touchmark At Harwood Groves for my mother. She's in their memory care. Her apartment is comparable to others, it has its own bathroom, and there's a shower. They have puzzles, they have things to do outside, they have a library, and they play cards and bingo. They have an exercise area and a swimming pool they go to. They have a movie room, they have a separate church area with mass, and they have outside areas that are set aside for the memory care, which is entirely different from assisted living.

We chose Touchmark At Harwood Groves for my mother. My first impression of the place is good and it's very nice. The nurses came down and assessed my mother, they're capable of taking care of the issues that my mother is having. So we're very happy with the outcome of our visit there. The staff members who assisted us during the tour were very good, there were 2 nurses and the director. The apartments were nice, it's big and clean, and easy to go around. She's getting a studio, they have a list of things that you can not bring like rugs. So they're very upfront with the requirements of moving in. Some family members have been there years before, so I know that their food is good. But their food selections are very nice. They have activities and she can participate or not if she doesn't want to. The nurses will try to make sure that she's participating instead of staying in her room all day.
