I went from being an only child to being the caregiver for my 91 year old mother. That process was daunting, scary, emotional, confusing and overwhelming. Kimberly of Peace Haven Assisted Living (PHAL) took the edge off of that process and facilitated the process of me going from caregiver back to being the only child. During that process Kimberly was knowledgeable, caring, comforting and strong. My mother was moved into PHAL in May of 2022 and stayed there til she passed in August of 2022. PHAL being a residential assisted living center versus a large assisted living facility, gave my mother personal attention and care. For example, PHAL took my mother to her appointments (doctors and hair) and outings such as getting strawberry milk shakes (her favorite). Meals were prepared and the residence all sat around the kitchen table like family. It was very important to my mother and I that she had some resemblance of her life before needing assistance. PHAL is very clean and quaint. There were only 4 residents living there while my mother was there. For my mother, PHAL had that "homey" feel versus large hospital feel. The care givers were compassionate and skilled. In conclusion, I would highly recommend PHAL to my family and friends. Ed

We chose Peace Haven Assisted Living for my husband. I liked the fact that you will only have probably up to six people in the facility. It's very small and like a regular home. You have a private room. It's all brand new, so everything looks amazing. I met with the owner, and she was awesome. The staff was very smart, caring, and knowledgeable. When I went there, they were cooking breakfast for one of the residents, which was awesome. They have a couple of rooms where they do activities. They have a piano, games that they play, a workout area, and a barbershop area. And then outside, they have a nice big patio with chairs and tables. They have a grill back there, so the cook there will be grilling for them when it's nice weather.
