We moved into Windsor Run Senior Living Community. We like it, they serve two meals, and they have all the buildings interconnected so you don't have to walk outside in bad weather if you like going out. They have one big gameroom, and some other game rooms, two dining areas, they have an indoor pool, and they have a doctor on the premises. It's just a very nice place, they treat you nicely, and the people here are very lucky. There are two reasons we chose this. One, my wife's brother is about six minutes away in drive time, and the other one is that everything is close. We are minutes away from shopping, hospitals, doctors, dentists, haircuts, and that's very important for older people, because if you need anything you don't need to drive long distances, and if you need some kind of help, you don't want to have to go on long trips in an ambulance, you want everything convenient and close, and that's what makes this area special. They also provide travel vehicles several days a week to people.

The best thing about Windsor Run is you don't have to go outside to go to the meals. The staff was very good. It's very clean. The sizes of the rooms and the layout were very good. The only thing at the time was they did not have nursing home and I think they're supposed to get it eventually. The atmosphere was very good and very friendly. Most of the buildings, although they're interconnected, there were areas outside the buildings for people to get together.

They do not care about their residents in independent living. They think because it is independence that no one needs help and when my parents lived there they have them leas and less amenities. They did not treat them with kindness or with their best interest in mind at all. The dining staff was rude and terribly trained. Not at all prepared for the age group they served. We had to move our parents twice in less than two years because of this. I do not recommend Windsor Run at all. They also continue to build and add without adding more staff and more medical staff to assist with the residents as well.

Windsor Run buildings and rooms are very nice. However, they keep building more and more buildings and do not have the medical or dining staff to accommodate the numbers. The staff are not trained to work with elderly residents. The turnover rate of the staff is extremely high. My parents were treated very disrespectfully and we had no choice but to move them out after a little over a year. This was so hard on my mom and dad. I would not recommend this senior living facility.

Windsor Run was very clean. I was very impressed at just how beautiful everything was. It was new and well-kept. It did not at all feel like the old-fashioned facilities. So, I was just very impressed with it. It's more like just a campus where they have restaurants, athletic areas, and all things for different interests for people. They have gardening, movie watching, a library, and everything. The staff was very, very helpful, very caring, understanding, and supportive. I believe they even had a regular doctor's office there. They had four different kinds of restaurants and all kinds of activities for the residents.

If I was gonna live in a more high rise situation and needed more activities and more care, Windsor Run would be my choice. They had an art studio (my husband's an artist), a swimming pool, activities, and just everything that you would need. When I was there, they were playing mahjong and bridge. The one bedroom was smaller, but it was nice. The facility was very clean and well taken care of. It's excellent.

I would not choose this facility because they have recently discontinued most transportation including rides to doctor and dental appointments. Residents paid a reasonable fee for this service and knew this critical service would be available, when needed. The facility is beautiful and offers many amenities. Interactions with the staff are good but they seem to have little control over the local facility.

Windsor Run is a gated community with a guard. They have a full exercise facility and lots of activities going on. It's a very clean facility. All of their buildings are connected inside, so you never have to go outside to get anywhere. They have pull cords in every apartment and benches in their showers. They have all types of clubs that you can join. They also have a low vision support group. Our mom has low vision, so that was a plus. They have scheduled day trips each week. I noticed that all of the residents were active in some way. You never saw one person just sitting off by themselves. Everybody seemed very happy there. They're starting a new construction phase. Everything was just very clean, new, and very bright. They have five restaurants with flexible dining. You don't have to eat at the same time and at the same place every day. Each apartment has a screened-in porch. Those are some of the things that I really liked. The staff we met was very knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and able to answer any questions without being pushy at all. The food looked good.

I like that Windsor Run is new, fresh, and very open. The residents that we've talked to there seemed very pleasant. The staff that gave the tour there was open and friendly. It's a large and very bright facility. They've got amenities like a pool, a gym, medical, woodworking, and theater.

Windsor Run in Matthews was excellent, and it's relatively new. It's only two years old, so it's modern and clean. The staff was excellent. Everybody we've worked with has been outstanding. They have anything you can imagine: a heated indoor pool, a workout facility, several dining options, and a continuing-care facility that they're going to open in about six months.

I'm choosing Windsor Run Senior Living Community because it's the best one for me. It's brand new; they have 3 levels of care on the campus. The people in the independent living seem to be independent and active adults; I've been to a place where it was not like that and it was boring. I've been to there a couple of times, they had parties and dinners and stuff; they seem to be very active people there. The place is beautiful. It's brand new so it's very well-maintained and there are amenities like the pool. It looks like a very desirable place to live. I had dinner there a couple of times, it was very good. They're very well-maintained and very friendly people. It's a good place; I would say it's a head and shoulders above the other places.

My mom is on a waiting list for Windsor Run Senior Living Community. We enjoyed the tour very much, and the tour guide was very informative. We enjoyed a very good lunch afterwards, and we were very impressed overall by the community. The units were very nice, spacious, and well taken care of. The staff was very friendly and helpful. It was very clean, it felt very sanitized, and very safe.
