My sister moved to the Springs of Catawba. They're clean. They're friendly. They treat the residents very nicely. They are super good to the care type that's coming in and out. Her apartment is beautiful. It's just like a big living room. It's got furniture, a couch, a chair, a bed, and a dresser. It's big and spacious. They told her to play bingo and she was in a hurry to play bingo.

Springs of Catawba was good. We were impressed, but it's the normal big facility. There's one-on-one care, and they'll be there if you absolutely need them, but they have too many people and not enough workers. We visited both assisted living and memory care. They're renovating the entire building, and it's very nice. It's a convenient location. It's right in the middle of Hickory. They have a lot of activities. They take both the memory care and the assisted living people on field trips, take them out to eat, and take them various places if they wish to go. It looked like they had a very good menu with a lot of choices. We only met the salesperson. We didn't meet any of the staff. The facility was very updated and clean.

This place is not the place you want your loved one to be. Big turn over of PSA's. They are basically babysitters. Also, as my loved one was dying the facility was getting ready for a HUD inspection. They came into my loved one's room and replaced a window with lots of noise and banging and the temp rose to 85 degrees in her room. Constant banging, repairs and noise the last 5 days that I spent with my mom and Hospice. The day she died they had their inspection. What a horrible experience! No one should ever have to go through what I went through with Springs of Catawba.

My mom is in Springs of Catawba Assisted Living. The staff is excellent, very caring and attentive. The place is very clean. The patients seem to be happy and they have lots of activities. I liked the freedom that the patients have and it is a beautiful place. My mother likes the food. They have separate dining areas for each facility and there were three different facilities. They have a two dementia care units and a regular assisted living care. Each dementia care has different dining areas. The regular residents have separate dining area.

I like Springs of Catawba because it's close to me. Their activities director is very nice. They have bingo and people coming in that play the piano and sing with them. They have an artist that comes in to help him paint pictures. They also take the residents to eat sometimes. I did see the room, and I like it.

We went to Springs of Catawba and are very well pleased with the services we are getting there. The service that we got from the website were quite helpful and the people that we talked to were most informative. We appreciate all the care and all the times they helped me. The rooms are very nice, clean, and the people think they know what they are doing. I am very satisfied.

I just went ahead and called Springs of Catawba. The people were excellent and were very accommodating. They don't have the skilled, but they have Alzheimer's unit. I have no complaints. They did everything they could to get mom established. They helped her adapt and they took care of everything.
