My grandfather moved into the Guilford House. They are very nice, the staff is very connected, and knowledgeable. They make you feel that you're at home. They make you feel very confident about their ability to care for your loved one. It was everything we wanted for him. Just from talking to them, they provide a high level of care, they really know their residents, and their residents are like their family. We could tell that when we were there, that they make the effort to get to know the residents and treat them as if they were their own family members. The facility is newer, nice, and it's always clean. The apartment is nice. Overall, we're very happy with the facility. It has courtyards, and so it was like nature and things, so that was something that we really wanted for him. Overall, we're pleased with the facility. They have activities for them, they play bingo, I know he likes to sing, and he said he participates in that, and they play cards.

I went to Guilford House. It was an unplanned visit. They were willing to go ahead and take me around and show me the facility. It's a nice facility, and it's very convenient to my home. I would consider that one in the future. I saw their dining area, but I did not get a chance to taste their food. The dining area was a nice space. They were playing games and stuff like that while I was there. The rooms seemed very nice and clean. The staff was very knowledgeable. She was not the person that would normally do that. She was from the business office because the person who would normally do that was not available that day.

Unprofessional staff from the abrasive and unempathetic Administrator to the staff who spends more time on their cell phones than checking on residents. No communication between shifts, no accountability, it's always an excuse or someone else's fault when there is a discrepancy. Inconsistent and unstructured, bordering on blatant neglect. They put on a front portraying as so kind and concerned about your loved one in the beginning, then change up completely as soon as the move in is complete. Because of the Covid restrictions, they know they control who they let in the building so there is no concern on their part about a family member popping in and seeing them ignoring the residents. I was in with my Mother and needed assistance, I searched all over not finding anyone on staff, and when I asked another resident where they were, she replied "Good question" and rolled her eyes as if that was the normal environment with no one around.

We liked Guilford House better than the other community. It's fairly new, it's on one level, and it is small. The staff was friendly and they answered our questions. We were there before lunch, but they were having a birthday party. The whole place was in this big room. We saw most of the people who would be staying there, i.e., the memory unit people with the assisted living people, so that was nice. They were interacting and including everybody.

Absolutely the WORST facility my father has ever been in, Understaffed on weekends, residents left alone in the large dining room area for extended periods, once my timing was 10 minutes Residents are allowed to wander and enter other residents rooms, often finding them sleeping in that room. Known fact that staff will also take a nap in unoccupied rooms. Food is hideous, and if your loved one falls, they are automatically sent to the ER. 95% of the time, no one witnesses the said fall, because of lack of staff. Take your loved one to a doggie day care before wasting your money here. A disgrace to the memory care industry!!

We found Guilford House, and we’re fine with it. We had problems with the medication in the beginning, but we worked that out now. Everything seems to be fine His clothes are clean when we get there, and we don't have any problems with the community.

My mom is currently at the assisted living facility of Guilford House. I like that it is a small facility and it is within a mile and a half from my house. The have meal options for the residents and their rooms are airy and bright.
