My friend was a resident of Williams Place Gracious Retirement Living. I was there all day and the people all seemed happy. There was no depressing atmosphere there. I ate lunch with her, and it was very good. They had a menu where you could pick what you wanted. I didn't have that much interaction with the staff, but I did talk to a couple of them. They had a gym, a library, a movie theater, and walking trails. Everything was clean. They go shopping and to different plays in theaters and stuff like that.

I was able to tour Williams Place Gracious Retirement Living, and it was very, very nice. They gave us a tour of the whole place: a one-bedroom, a two-bedroom, and a suite. They had their chef cook us a dessert; it was very nice. The people who gave us the tour were very nice. It was independent living, but there are à la carte options if you want extra help on different things, and that was kind of weird to me. It is hard to budget when things are à la carte like that. If they had to take them to the dining room and back, it is a charge. If they had to help with meals, it is a charge. It is really not independent, I guess, if you're going to keep paying for that. They had everything: a movie theater, games, and a full calendar of stuff every day. There are some inside activities and some outside activities. I was impressed with all the things that they lined up for their seniors.

My mom is staying at Williams Place Gracious Retirement Living. You live on your own in your apartment, but they have meals. I like the location as well as the people there. It is just a nice environment. You have to bring in extra help if you want it. She has a great apartment. It is a one-bedroom apartment that is overlooking the lake, which is nice. The facility itself is very nice. It is fairly new and it has only been around for three years. They have lots of different things to do both inside and outside. They do a ton of stuff every day.
