This is a 10-star place! What relative wouldn't want to have a wonderful place like this in times of need that has a loving caring and professional staff? They are providing a clean environment with delicious nutritious food. It certainly takes a weight off my shoulders and heart and surely will for you! What more could you ask for? I see Shannon and Josh setting a good example for the rest of the staff as a team to get the job done. I do want to thank them and the whole rest of the staff.

Shads Landing was nice, and it was more of an a la carte for services that we needed. The facilities were spacious and clean. It had the amenities that we were looking for. The staff was fine. They have physical therapy, home health if you need it, laundry, and housekeeping.

I moved into Shads Landing. It's a very nice place, and the price is reasonable. I have a studio apartment. The staff is competent and friendly. The facility is very clean. They had a woman in with her jewelry this morning and she put her items, so she was selling her jewelry, and that was nice. The food they serve has large portions and is very good. They have an arts and crafts room, a recreation area, a library, and a chapel.

My mom has been in Shads Landing for eight days now. The experience has been great. It was about the person that I got to speak with there. He helped me completely with everything for my mom. The place is clean and energetic. The people are living with purpose there. They look forward every day to their activities schedule, which is very full and exciting, which my mom loves. It's a walkable campus, which is wonderful. It's very safe. It's in a residential area, which I like because that makes it safe. It's close to hospitals and doctors. It's close to me, which is the number one key.

I did a tour of Shads Landing. They were very helpful in terms of answering questions, and giving us a pretty thorough rundown of the services and everything available. I have no problems or issues with them, they were great. They showed us an empty room, and then models of what they had available; there was a good variety. I did see one of the menus, but I did not go there at mealtime. The atmosphere was pleasant and upbeat. It was a very nice layout and a nice dining room. It seemed like a good place to live.

I toured Shads Landing. The staff who assisted me with the tour were very accommodating. The rooms were kind of small. They showed me an apartment and a studio, but they seemed smaller. They had a library. They had a clubhouse. They had an area for entertainment, a TV, and a pool table. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Shads Landing was a nice facility, but I need my own kitchen. That was the issue I had with the place. They seemed to have a lot of things for seniors to do. They even had a little gardening thing that was nice because I garden. The people were nice. The residents were nice. The food was nice and appealing, but to me, it was bland. I understand that they have to make food like that, but the presentation was nice. It was very comfortable. I didn't talk to that many people. I spoke to two people, and they were pleasant, nice, and helpful because they helped me recognize what I'm not willing to take. I don't want a big home as I have now, but I wasn't settled on what I was willing to give up until I went there. One thing I did like is that they have transportation because I think they don't encourage you to have a car, but they do have parking for people. For the most part, they have like little shuttles where they take you shopping and wherever you need to go. They take you to your doctors' appointments and that sort of thing and I thought that was pretty nice. That made things easier for some residents.

We went with Shads Landing for my mom, which is just independent. She likes it so far, it's nice. They're doing a big update, they're putting a bunch of money into it, and redoing some of the workout areas in July. They're just a retirement 55 and over place, but they accommodate people that are older and have problems. There are always a couple of things that you would like to see better. The employees there are very nice, from what I've seen. They offer three meals a day and they have a lot of activities during the day. The rooms are nice, the bedrooms are big, and everything's included like cable. So it makes it very easy with everything included. The place is very clean.

I like Shads Landing. It's an independent living place, but they offer assisted care that you pay for extra. They could help my sister with showering, getting her to the dining room, changing her, or any assistance that she would need. The place was beautiful and the staff was very nice and very friendly. I was shown the actual rooms that were available and I got a really good vibe from the place. Michelle toured me around and she was very informative and very friendly. So, she was great. I asked some of the residents how they liked the food and they all liked it there. The menu is varied. They have two choices a day and if they don't like those two choices, they have a menu that's around all the time. Everything looked delicious. They have a whole month of activities on a calendar, so every day they could do something like exercises, painting, playing bingo, and those sorts of things.

Shads Landing was very nice. It was beautiful inside and out. The staff was warm, welcoming, and it was clean. They were cleaning out while we were there. So, it was clear that they take care of the property. The rooms were a little small but were very nice. I'm sure that's based on budget, though. They had a lot of activities and planned amenities, including transportation for the residents. They also had a pond for fishing (with a little bridge). The facilities were very updated and much nicer than the other one we went to.

I toured Shads Landing on Saturday. I liked it, and I think my parents will like it. It is independent living. However, as patients' needs change, home health can come in, doctors can visit, that kind of thing. And so they can get the care that they need there. The assistant manager gave me the tour, she was very nice. When I got there, they were finishing up lunch. They have a lot to offer, they have lots of activities for the residents, lots of outings. The residents seem to be happy there. They socialize with each other. The apartment was nice. It'll take some getting used to because it's smaller quarters, but the assistant manager said that it's not their intent that they stay in their rooms, because there's so much activity. They've got a library, a pool room, a media room. There are lots of things for them to do. They don't have to be stuck in their rooms. They have a guest suite. It's like a hotel room, and it's nice. They take them to their doctor's appointments, they take them on outings, shopping, and lunch. I told my mom I think she would enjoy it because of the socialization. I would be very comfortable with my parents staying there. It's kind of dated, but she told me that in July they're redoing the whole place. It'll be new paint, new pictures, new furniture. It Is going to look like a different place. It was clean. They have elevators as well as stairs. They had a variety of choices on the menu because my parents don't eat pork. So there were other non-pork options, and that would be important.

My mom moved in to Shads Landing. It's a retirement community with lots of interactions, and they have medical services for assisted type of living situations that Mom needs. The staff goes out of their way to help and they're very courteous. I have no complaints at all. The facility is very clean. They have an exercise room, a beauty parlor, a chapel, and bus transportation to take them to doctors' visits or any type of medical visits. They also have a dining facility where you can go down and interact, or you can dine in your own room if you desire. They have a wide list of activities that go on each and every day, but right now they are in quarantine because a couple of residents came down with COVID. Normally, they would have almost ten or fifteen activities, which you could do each and every day, either in a group setting or by yourself. My mom wanted to live on the second floor too, not on the first floor, and Shads Landing had one available. That was the main thing that persuaded my decision to come there.

Shads Landing was very pleasant. It was a great tour. It's a beautiful facility, and it might be a good consideration for my father. It was just a walk-around tour. The apartment we saw was lovely. The director was wonderful. Most residents were inside because of the pandemic. I toured it about ten years ago as well, and it was no different.

I moved into Shads in May during a stressful time. From day 1, I felt safe and secure. The staff was friendly and concerned for everyone. I felt they went above and beyond to keep us all safe from this virus.

Shads Landing is a beautiful place, but it is too much freedom for my mom. The rooms are more like apartments. The landscaping and the lake are beautiful. The people are very nice. They have activities too.

Shad's Landing was very nice. The outside appearance was very nice, and the inside was spacious. They were having a sale when we went. It's a monthly rental, so we signed up and liked the fact that we didn't have to put a large amount of money down. The staff was very helpful. We stayed for lunch, and the food was good and had a nice variety. We were pleased. It reminded me of being on a ship. They had pool tables, movie areas, and a library.

We thought Shad’s Landing was decent, but we were not interested in it primarily because of the location. We’re told they had a gym.

Shad’s Landing is very nice. I think it’s a great facility. I saw some rooms that the residents were kind enough to let us come in and take a look, and they were all very nice. They have various room sizes, too, which was good because you weren’t stuck with one particular type. They have anything you want to get involve with in terms of activities, plus exercise rooms, public rooms, and outside activities. I’m involved with a small group that goes out to various senior lunches where we perform skits, poems, and a little bit of music. I thought they were quite lovely.

The overall community of Shads Landing looked really nice. It was friendly and warm, and the staff seemed like they were all caring people. A couple of my family members went with me, and we had a delicious meal there, and we also were entertained by a community of people who had come in and were booked for entertainment. It's a great place, and I'd certainly recommend it. They have a regular schedule of activities that is set up every month. As a matter of fact, I have a communication here in front of me, and it shows for the month of March -- which was when I went to visit -- that there are everyday activities from morning until early evening. Every Monday, they have different things: Hooks and Needles which is one group, sing-along, and another group, Count Your Blessings. And they have bingo every evening on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from the calendar here. They are interspersed throughout the month with different things. They have card games and bowling; you can name it, and you are going to see something on the calendar of activities for the people. It was a wonderful experience. The staff was definitely caring, not only for its residents, but for us visitors as we came in, and they afforded us all the amenities that were occurring during that day that we could participate in. It was just a wonderful place.

I’ve been to Shads Landing. We knew somebody else that was there. It was clean. The staff seemed to be very pleasant. The dining room was clean and neat. We’d play cards with one of the ladies there.

This retirement community was like a hotel. They had a large dinner room. They also had area where you could get coffe or tea during the day. I was shown a one bedroom apartment. There was good closet space and a patio. There was a man made pond that you could walk around. You can get private services if you need help with medications or dressing. They clean the rooms once aweek.

Mom describes Shads Landing as elegant. The facility is very clean and nicely decorated. They have a warm, welcoming staff. My mother is in a studio apartment. Even though it is the smallest one, it is a nice apartment. They also have one and two-bedroom apartments. There is an activity room that I go by regularly and I see a lot of things going on.

I had the chance to see Shads Landing and it's a nice and clean place, but there was no garage parking for your car and I want a garage for my car. There were activities provided for the residents. The place is satisfactory. The residents there seemed to very happy and they are very friendly.
