I like East Towne because my sister is there and she loves it. She has many friends. I like them because they're efficient and most comfortable. I was going to try to get my brother-in-law over there if I can. The thing is, my sister doesn't have any money, and my brother-in-law has money, but with all the way that everything costs, he would be broke in 19 months to be paying $6000 and $7000 a month. To me, it's not fair that somebody who has money has to pay so much money compared to my sister. My sister only pays $1285 a month because she only lives on SSI and then Medicaid picks up the rest. She never got to get Social Security because she never got to work because of her seizures. I don't think it's fair if somebody has money to pay over $6000, but another same person is only paying $1285 and they're giving the same care and service, eating the same food, and having the same bedroom with a roommate. I don't think it's fair. My sister gets along with everybody. The staff is good, but they're changing all the staff over there and I'm hoping it's for the better. I went there when they had their prom and the food was very good. The food though during the week, to me, is not so good. Lunch and sometimes dinner, especially on weekends when nobody's there, it's just soup and sandwich and things like that. If somebody has high blood pressure or sugar diabetes, they shouldn't give them ham. If my sister doesn't like what's on the menu, they'll either give her a ham sandwich or a turkey sandwich. If they're on a particular diet, I think that's what they should keep up with. I know housekeeping comes in from 7:00 to 11:00 and change my sister's bedding. They wash her bedding and things like that. She'll do bingo with them. They have an activity director, but she's so young. I don't get to see what she does. When I go in, I tell my sister, "Why haven't they changed the decor out?" I said Easter has been gone. There should be fall stuff in there.

I’ve placed my brother-in-law in East Towne. It’s been sold the week after I put him there in August. The price is right, and they accept Medicaid when his money runs out. It was clean, and the staff was nice. They’re good.

I had a complete tour at East Towne. It was large, spread out, homey, and had a fairly nice appearance. The rooms were average sized, fairly comfortable, homey, and spacious. The dining room was nice and large. They have workshop services, games, outings, and arts and crafts. The location was in a good, but busy area.
