My grandmother has moved into Brookdale Charlotte East. She feels more at home there. She got a good feeling about going there. It's also a good price for her. They had a good deal going so she can afford the price more than she could afford other places. The building is a little bit older, but they're doing lots of renovations. They're updating it little by little. It's not as open as the other ones we've seen. It feels more closed off than the others. However, I like the staff. They have been super helpful. I can contact them very easily. They are very nice. I'm grateful for the help that they've given us. They have so many different events. My grandmother got a calendar for the different things they do. They have transportation for going to a grocery store and doctor's appointment. The staff are there to help them. They have all kinds of opportunities. They have like bird sanctuary and beautiful potted plants on the property. I had lunch there once before we moved in and I thought it was very delicious. It's like restaurant style where you sit down, they bring you the menu and you choose what you want to eat and they bring it out to you.

My wife and I went to Brookdale Charlotte East. The people were very nice. The rooms were nice. They have an opening right now for a two-bedroom, which is what we were looking for. The building seemed older than the other facility, but it seemed to be well-maintained. I would have no hesitation about moving there if they had at least assisted living. They only have independent living. but their assisted living is where you hire someone to come in. The staff and the people were nice. But it wasn't as bright and as cheery as the other facility.

Brookdale Charlotte East was new, spacious, and very nice, but it was out of our price range. The outdoors was also very nicely landscaped. They had all the amenities that all the other assisted living places have.

Be very careful of this money pit. The food and accommodations are average but they will jack up rates very quickly and unfairly. I am currently being charged for their highest level of billing and service even though my mother has been in the hospital the past few months. Their contract has an Arbitration clause but when you ask for it they will stall and just send you to collections. No discussions. Just know that this is a corporation that will cut corners at every opportunity.

I toured Brookdale Charlotte East but they only had a 1-bedroom apartment available. For one person, it was fine but it was not that large. The facility was very clean. The staff seemed very friendly and very nice, and I thought everybody was very proper. The day we went to visit the place, the residents were going on a trip. The dining room was nice, it was like going into a nice restaurant.

We are going to choose Brookdale Charlotte East because he liked the facility, the area, and the list they provided. The staff who gave the tour was very informative and very pleasant. I like that the facility would provide everything that we require. They have transportation, meals, housekeeping, and lots of activities.

Brookdale Charlotte East was not well maintained, and the buildings were just too tall. To me, it felt more institutional. We saw both independent and assisted living areas. In the room, there was a stove and refrigerator. There was no microwave, the staff specifically said that we could bring in the microwave. They had a very nice courtyard and walking trails. The person who took us around was very pleasant, very knowledgeable, and personable.

When I visited this facility looking for a small apartment for my aunt, the staff and residents were friendly and welcoming and that is the same after 6 months. I see staff interacting with residents and residents participating together in activities. Staff members have called me immediately about any health concerns they have for my aunt. There are emergency calling devices in place so residents can request help immediately. There is a staff member available in the facility 24/7 and that was very important to us. My aunt says she is very happy there.

I'm living in Brookdale Charlotte East. I've been here for two and a half years now. The rent is very expensive, but everything is provided for me. They provide two meals a day. Free laundry and free transportation. We go out twice a week for our shopping. They take us to the library. They take us to a doctor's visit when we need to go to the doctor. I go to the VA whenever necessary. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We have a dining room where they provide meals to us. It's like a regular dining room. We have movies just about every night at 7 p.m. We have internet in our room, but we have to pay for the cable access, which is $25 a month, which is not bad. They have about three cooks available; the food is provided for us. We have a maid service that comes and cleans our rooms every other week. We go out to restaurants a couple of times a month for dinner. Maybe we'll go out to LongHorn or Olive Garden or something and that's something we have to pay for. Well, some things could be better, and some things could be worse. Overall, I would say the value for money is about a 5. It's a gated community, so everything is safe.

My father will be moving into Brookdale Charlotte East. It's the most affordable while still being a nice facility. They seemed to offer a lot of activities and a means for my father to get around and do things because he's still physically perfectly capable. He doesn't even have a walker to get around, but we are getting concerned about his driving, so he would still be able to go to different stores and the doctors and do other activities, and they have a lot of stuff going on. I also like their meal plan, so he wouldn't have to worry too much about getting something to eat. We got a tour of the facility especially the rooms, and it's small, but it's big enough that he's got a kitchenette, a separate sleeping area, his own bathroom, that kind of thing. They just seemed very accommodating. He doesn't need any medical or health assistance yet, but because he would be in that facility, they would still be checking on him. A big thing for us is the price because my dad only has Social Security coming in. He does not have a retirement plan or anything like that. This is the place that seemed to best fit his budget because everything else that we looked at or inquired about was well over his budget. The customer service person that we talked to was very nice and very accommodating. Our visit time was pretty limited and it was focused on touring, so I didn't see any activities going on, other than people were gathering for lunch on the day that we went. The staff seemed very nice and the people there seemed very happy. We talked to a few people that lived there and we talked to somebody whose in-laws lived there and everybody seemed pretty happy with the place. It's not that anything's rundown. It's not the latest facility, but everything was clean and everything was in repair. There didn't seem anything out of repair. Maybe a couple of things seemed a little dated, but if that keeps the cost down, then I don't mind that at all. Just looking off the menu, it's varied and it allows them to get some of their own food if they want because they have a kitchenette and everything. It seems like it has a good variance in the menu, but I didn't see anybody eating. I didn't see any of the food.

My dad is at Brookdale Charlotte East. So far, he's not had any complaints, so I think he is OK. He said the food is pretty good, and he likes it. He said the staff is pretty helpful all the time, and he has no complaints with them. They've had a few cases of Covid over there, so I dont think he is doing a whole lot of interaction with a lot of people over there at present. He also talks to me about some people that he has met. The only complaint that I can think of, and it is really not a complaint, is that he only has basic television and sometimes he wants something on the big screen downstairs. There's only one TV down there and that's pretty much on a first come, first serve basis. So, they could probably use another wide screen for sports or something like that because he is a very sports-oriented person. It is very expensive there.

We visited Brookdale Charlotte East. It was very nice and enjoyable. They're very outgoing. I was very satisfied with the tour. We enjoyed the food. We only had one meal there, but it was very nice, and I'm very particular about my food. My husband is very excited. The unit had a kitchenette, a bedroom, a living space, and a dining space. It's furnished, and it's very, very clean. If it had an odor, I wouldn't have stayed. I only met the people that were signing you up, and they were excellent at their job obviously or I wouldn't have signed up. I was very pleased. I'm looking forward to being there, and I can't wait to move in. The rooms were smaller than other places, but my overall impression is really good. I liked it. I'm signed up and ready to go. I don't have any reservations.

I've chosen Brookdale Charlotte East. It's been wonderful. Everybody seems happy there. The person that is in charge of getting new people in there, she is wonderful. She remembers everything, and she touches base with me. I just have nothing but good experiences there. I got to see the rooms there. I have been there three times, and it is very nice and roomy. I am getting a one bedroom, but it does not feel claustrophobic; the room's a nice size. I am excited about it. The food there is delicious. They invited us over for lunch one day, and it was really, really good. They have something planned every single day, sometimes more than once. I don't know anything specific, but I just know they have lots of activities. Except for the location, it is perfect. I just dont really love the location. The staff are all wonderful.

I toured Brookdale Charlotte East. It was great, it was lovely. It was very nice, the apartment I looked at was bright and sunny, and I had a meal there; the meal was quite good. I talked to several of the residents, they were friendly and warm, and Drew, the guy that toured me, was very helpful.

Brookdale Charlotte East is a very large area, and it's nice. The residents were watching television during my visit, and there were no other activities going on at the time. Their dining area was really nice and the things we would need like therapy, OT and PT, all of those can be accommodated there rather than at the VA center which is truly a plus. I got to see their private room which was the only vacant one at the time, but they also have semi-private ones. It was a clean community.

Brookdale Charlotte East assisted living looked pretty nice and I enjoyed the tour. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. The rooms and dining area were really nice. Everything was neat and in order. They got plenty of activities. They had a fitness room, piano, one big room where people gather, and a barber shop. It's pretty ideal for me.

My mother was at Brookdale Charlotte East in their assisted living, but her dementia got worse very quick, so we had to hire sitters 24/7, which was terribly expensive. We also had to stay for another week because of a quarantine due to the flu. Some of the staff members was just there for the paycheck, but others would bend over backward to help you. The food was OK. It's a clean and beautiful facility, but it was a very awkward stay.

The staff are amazing! So helpful and kind. The activities are great! They do so many different types of programs, trips out, great entertainment and informative talks. They reallyvwork hard to ensure the residents enjoy everything thats going on. They have a great transportation program also that allows resdients to be Independent when it comes to visiting their PCP. Would definitely recommend this community!

I got a tour of Brookdale Charlotte East and they showed me all the common areas and the rooms. The room that I saw had a nice view. It was fine. They have a chapel, a library, and a big common area with a TV. They have a calendar of activities with things listed. The staff that I met was very knowledgeable and she knows her job. One thing I noticed about it is that compared to the other ones I saw, this one is an older building. It's a pretty large building that's secure because it has a gate around it. Then you have to buzz to get in, so that was very good for security.

I plan on moving into Brookdale Charlotte East. They were congenial and personable. The studio apartment was fine. The staff was receptive. The food was good and the dining area was restaurant style. They had a full activity schedule, transportation, and church services. They have walking paths. The residents were friendly and the parking was adequate.

The people at Brookdale Charlotte East are very knowledgeable, helpful, and delightful. Once you're in it, it's very nice. They're designed for people who basically can maneuver in and out of their rooms themselves into a social room or to a bus. You have to be fairly independent and have a pretty high level of autonomy to live there. The individual rooms were nice, but the social gathering room could use a lot of work.

Brookdale Charlotte East had just had a party when we went there, but the people were not actively engaged and just sitting around and talking to each other. The woman who showed us around was very knowledgeable and seemed to be acquainted with the residents. They had a pretty active activity calendar. Like most places, they had buses to take you places.

Brookdale Charlotte East had a lot of amenities, but they had a built-in meal plan and their curb appeal wasn't so nice. When you walk in, it was very dark, and it was very unfriendly looking. It wasn't a pretty place at all and their apartments were horrible. I liked their activities and they had a great amenity program. They have a door decorating contest once a month and they encourage people to do things to make their place look prettier. They have a great big art room. I'm in a 2-bedroom apartment now and I would be paying $1,000 more a month for a 1-bedroom apartment here. Instead of having central air-conditioning, they have window units, so you can't put a piece of furniture in front of the windows. They had a beautiful dining room with beautiful lighting. The apartment had a very pretty kitchen. I just didn't like that its configuration did not give you any wall space. I also did not like the fact that I was given a tour by the bus driver.

My mother-in-law moved in Brookdale Charlotte East last Wednesday. She has a little assistance right now escorting her to meals and things like that, but so far so good with the independent living. I like the level of genuine care of the staff. I worked in health care for 44 years, and you kind of know when people care or whatever they are just going to the motion. On every level, everybody that we meet has been extremely caring, and that is important. Her apartment is very spacious. The floor plan is very well put together. It is everything that she really needs. The grounds are very beautiful. They have walking paths around it, and there is a beautiful outdoor area or patio under trees with lots of bird feeders and lots of big trees that makes it nice and shady. It is beautiful. It is in not in the best section of town, but the facility itself is dated, and the surroundings around it are so nice, you will not realize that it is kind of tucked back in a different area. It is affordable for her. Again, the staff makes the difference. I go there during the day and just watch them. I can see the staff interacting with the people constantly. Everybody seems happy. I talk to a lot of residents, and they are happy. It is so cute; they are all sitting together watching a movie in this big room munching on popcorn and having a great time. They have a lot of activities. It is the most impressive place that I have ever been to.

Our visit with Brookdale Charlotte East was very favorable. We went on a tour. We spoke to some employees. They were very nice and helpful. I talked to a gentleman whose house was in there, and had nothing but good to say about it. It was a nice and clean facility.

Brookdale Charlotte East was a lovely community with lovely people living there. The staff was very pleasant and very helpful. They were able to show me everything they could about the community. I liked that the place was in a very nice location and a quiet neighborhood. In fact, it was like a bird sanctuary. They had apartments suited for seniors needing assistance. Their dining area was gorgeous all the way around too. I was not able to try their food though. They had all kinds of wonderful activities that were stimulating like playing cards. Plus, they had a bus that can take them to beautiful places. All in all, it was a great community in my opinion.

I have eaten in Brookdale Charlotte East, and the food was OK. I would rate the food about a 3. They had attentive staff, but it did not seem as relaxed. They had smaller bedrooms and smaller kitchens. The dining room was very pleasant. They don't have a buffet. You order from the menu of the day, and it was pretty tasty. I was impressed with its accessibility and security.

I like the flexibility. You can stay there 30 days after a hospital. They had private rooms and things of that nature, and it seems like the care is quality. They have different room sizes for the different requirements of the folks that are staying there. It was a brief stay, but we did tour the kitchen area and the dining area. They also had a couple areas were you could do group activities, and it was nice. The whole place is clean. The staff seemed to be courteous and knowledgeable. They also seemed to be helpful.

We haven't made any decision yet, but this community is a good candidate. It has a family environment setting. Everyone gets to know everyone quickly. My mother spent three days there; she was on their "stay-cation," and she drew a lot of attention from the residents. The residents there were extremely friendly. The staff was excellent, as well as the meals, their dining area, and the servers. The main thing is its private pay, as at the majority of these places.

It was convenient for me. I knew someone who was already living there; they had been there for a few years and they were really pleased. The room is fine and there is a variety of food to choose from. They have activities every day at 2:00 pm. They had bingo several times, people come in for entertainment and they had a bible study mom can go to.
