My lease just expired at Overture Chapel Hill. I've been there about 11 months. I love the location of it. I love the facility, the layout of the facility, and the way the apartments are designed. It was a nice place to live. It was a good-sized apartment and it had one and a half baths. It was brand new with hardwood floors. It was very nice. The staff was very friendly, and they got along well with all the residents. They have a fitness center, game areas, and a movie theater. They have an exercise room where you could go for classes like Taichi and other types of classes. They didn't serve full meals and only had continental breakfast morning. The food was great. The dining area was kept very clean. It was very nice and large with lots of windows and lots of light coming in.

Overture Chapel Hill has a lot of activities almost every day, they have something all the time that's going on. It's about five floors, have three elevators there, a little community area, a swimming pool and they have a barbecue grill. As far as activity and things like that, their community room was a little smaller than the other places. They have different types of rooms, different layouts, and floor plans you can choose from. I like it very much. I toured different ones and this one is a little bit smaller than other places, it's more laid back.

Overture Chapel Hill is a senior apartment building. It was much more like a very nice hotel, so no meals were provided, no maid service was provided, and no linens were provided. It's just an apartment complex geared toward people fifty-five and above. They have a portfolio of service providers that one can hire à la carte for various services. For example, if you rent an apartment there, you could hire the cleaning service and that would be an additional fee. They offer trash removal from the apartments. Overture Chapel Hill is brand new. Its architecture is very modern and sophisticated. It was almost too modern and brand new for my taste. I think for certain people it would be very appealing. The apartments are rather small, but the kitchens are rather large. All the appliances are full-kitchen appliances, not a mini-kitchen or a mini-fridge. It was just a little too sleek and modern for my taste. It's a five- or six-story elevator building. It has a beautiful pool in the middle of the complex. I met with their sales associate. She was very pleasant and very nice. She was the only person I met, but they were very warm and very enthusiastic. I thought it smelled unusual because it's so new, so the surfaces, the floors, the paint, and everything are still giving that kind of off-gassing smell that you get with new materials, and that bothered me. I think eventually that goes away, but right now, it's a little overwhelming.
