My mom is at this care center. While it is not the most plush place, I find that they do a good job taking care of residents. I feel confident that my mother is safe and in a clean environment. And at a time when other places were not willing to take on a person with the two competing conditions my mom deals with, Phoenix welcomed her with open, capable arms.

A sad place to be left... I visited this place today to see an old friend of mine. I talked with a lot of the so friendly older people there too and all of them have given up to the situation there. I was shocked to see that they couldn't watch ANY TV channels in their room, none! They just sit in their rooms and wait for I don't know what. When I informed myself I was sold that they have to pay for cable! Everyone I talked with couldn't afford this! So so sad. They wouldn't even provide them with a antenna for the basic local channels! Every motel and dump has cable tv, but not this place, and how much again do they pay per month? It is very upsetting to me to see what happens with old people when they get dumped on such a place and no relative would care anymore and help paying the cable. Makes no sense to me, that each room needs an extra cave set up! Share shame shame

To the families with loved ones at Phoenix, please be aware of the Administrator, and the staff! My mother was there for a brief time and the things I saw in the locked units for Alzheimrers patients was disturbing. I saw the staff actually giving the patients crumbled potatoe chips for snack and half cups of water. I spoke with the staff and they stated this is all we have. They had even cut back on the pull-ups, no wipes, no locations or anything. This facility may be in Cary, but it's one of the worst I've seen. I could not sleep at night while my loved one was there until I removed them! The Admin thinks she's an no it all! Just be aware of any place u put ur loved one and please be careful of the smiles........

I really like Phoenix Assisted Care. I like the interaction between the staff and the residents. The staff is very welcoming they spent much time with me as I needed. I can go in anytime day or night. The staff seems to be courteous to my father, and they take care of his needs.
