My grandmother is in Oak Creek Retirement Community. It's a great community, my grandmother loves it there. She's in a 2-bedroom suite, and you have a choice of 1 or 2 bedrooms depending on your price range, they provide 1 meal a day, you have to be able to walk to the cafeteria, she enjoys the food, I've eaten there, it's not bad. It's good as far as cafeteria food, even the younger generation if you have to eat there, you can. They do have a visitor's suite, if you're from out of state you can stay there to visit with them, they have a shuttle to get residents for doctor's appointments, you have to schedule that on their own. The only downside to that community is they do not have washer and dryers in the apartments, they have shared community laundromat. They have a wonderful beauty salon that's highly rated by the ladies, they have a library with a gameroom attached to it, they like to do dominoes and bridge, and the guys have a poker game once a week, they have an exercise class, but due to COVID that is no longer taking place right now. We haven't had any problems, they do send people to clean once a week, they just do very basic vacuuming, they're not lifting any thing or moving any furniture. If you do want to have a deep clean, you have to pay extra for that.

My husband and I will move into Oak Creek Retirement Community. The tour we had was very good and very thorough. We appreciated all the information and options. The staff was very welcoming, informative, open to all questions, and very nice. They provided lunch to their residents. They had activities like arts, crafts, and different outings. They would take you and provide transportation in the county. It was a one-floor plan for the apartments, but very spacious for us. We're getting a 2-bedroom, 2-bath apartment, and they are putting in new carpet, new paint, and a few other things before we move in. They had several different common rooms inside and they had a patio outside. They had a hair salon and a game room.

My mom went to Oak Creek Retirement Community. We chose it because they have very spacious rooms, and my mom loves the sunporch. They have transportation to all her doctors' appointments if needed. My mom seems to be really enjoying it and the food; they have very good salads. We haven’t seen any problems. They only get one meal a day, though. They have trips to the beach and the surrounding areas, have game and movie nights, and go out to eat and try different local restaurants. Oak Creek Retirement Community has the best price and a good location. The price was the main pull, though. It was way below most of the other places we toured.

Oak Creek was completely redoing their apartment and we’re waiting for the construction to be over. We originally looked at it about a year ago. It’s a small, very compact, and closed neck community. We were on the waiting list and will probably move in end of March. The staff was very friendly and we spoke several times with some of the individuals that’s been there. Somebody was there in the facility since it was built. One lady worked there for 25 years and she has been living there for 8 years. Most of the residents are long term. The dining setup was excellent; they have more of a dining room style. It’s a small community, which is desirable for us. They have a chapel facility too.

My mother has been at Oak Creek now 2+ years. It is a wonderful retirement community! It has facilities and programs for enrichment opportunities, it's small and private but well-staffed with beautiful grounds. The staff is responsive to the needs of seniors with special needs and any repair or maintenance issues are handled quickly and with sensitivity. This place gives me such peace of mind that my mother can live in a place she really feels is home!

Oak Creek Retirement wasn't really big of a facility. It was a little bit older though, but it was still nice. I thought it was a pretty nice place and very reasonable in its cost. It was definitely clean. It looked very good particularly around the cafeteria area. The cafeteria area was nice. We looked at one apartment and it was nice. It had a kitchen and everything that my mother would need. They were in the process of cleaning it for the next resident. It was already clean but they were repainting it and updating some of the fixtures and things in it. You could tell they were really doing a good maintenance on it. One of the problems with this facility though was that the laundry and all of that was on the level down from where all the apartments were. You would have to go downstairs to get to it but they don't have an elevator. However, the staff seemed very nice. The woman that we spoke to was very nice and answered all our questions. Also most of the residents there smiled and were very nice. They were talking and sitting together. They had a good group of activities at that time.

We initially considered Oak Creek for my parents. The people working there are very nice. Kelly is a very nice person and you could tell that she really cares about the people there. My parents knew some of the residents living there.
