At first we were nervous about bringing my Dad to Adira because we knew nothing about this place. But Adira had the only ventilator bed available in Westchester County. We decided to go ahead and have him there for a few days. After 4 months he was weened off the ventilator. Their respiratory team is top notch and rehab is done everyday it was all one on one. My dad is home now, thank you Adira. In my eyes they are 5 star.

room is OK staff is very scarce do the bare minimum to nothing....If you don't go all the time and ask for what you need it doesn't get done. activities are ok if you are mobile otherwise you are stuck in your room and cannot participate .....Please don't send your loved ones here. food is horrible menu is the same every day ....served cold because No one moves quick enough....On Thanksgiving Day you could eat in the dining area or in room.... if you opted to eat in room at lunch time you never got a meal. when dinner finally came the so-called meat was sour and if the resident needs to be feed assisted no one came to do it ...so that means they didn't eat. Don't go here

I have my grandmother at adira for physical rehab the place is clean the staff was very attentive and friendly to her. What I love about it is that it’s small and she receives the best care because there is enough staffing. And the perks are that there is a huge parking lot so you always find parking. I recommend Adira to any one that wants their family member to get personal attention.

I can Breath easily knowing my grandmother is being well taken care of, especially during a pandemic. We had the opportunity to video chat when visiting was not an available option. I am thankful and grateful for Adira' care team. They help with everything possible and are so good to grandmother

My husband was transferred from an acute hospital without me being there due to Covid and we had to trust the intake and the care over the last 6 months without seeing him. He has been infection free, has put on weight and his medical issues are dealt with by doctors on staff and by St. John's specialists. We are very happy with the Nursing Staff, the CNA's , Social Workers, the respiratory therapists and the way Patient Services tries to engage and help my husband improve. They moved him to a window bed after a few months which is great. Thank you Adira.

Nurses don't come around often enough. You constantly have to ask them to either change a bandage or something else. They have already threw out a pair of sweatpants without my consent. My older dogs had better care than this. This place is a disgrace and would never recommend it to anyone. I plan on speaking with the CEO and the Head of Nursing regarding the care at this facility.

I highly recommend this place. The staff are helpful and cheerful. The speech, physical and occupational therapists are all hard working, thorough, and dedicated to their patients. The food is good. It was truly a unique and wonderful experience. I can't thank them all enough for their help and support.

Exceptional Quality Rehab with Very Pleasant Staff who went above and beyond to make moms stay as comfortable as possible. She enjoyed being here. She was given great care. After a few months of therapy she went home and is doing very well. Many thanks to the staff at Adira at Riverside Rehabilitation.

I have recently had a family member in need of physical rehabilitation accepted into Adira. I had been recommended by a caring nurse from our previous rehab place in White Plains to leave there as soon as possible in favor of transferring to Adira. Once at Adira my Uncle found the staff to be very caring and helpful. We also saw first hand that instead of letting my uncle just lay in bed all day the acting therapist got his body moving again in an effort to keep up his mobility and help improve his diminished blood flow to his affected legs. The staff has been very courteous, helpful and caring. While no one person really wants to be stuck in a rehab facility my Uncle has had no complaints and feels like he is actually being helped by staff that cares. This facility and it's staff have really been wonderful and their level of patience when dealing with the disabled patients does them merit.

This is a beautiful facility located in Yonkers, NY. My aunt was here for rehab after knee surgery. The physical and occupational therapy team did a superb job. The staff is friendly, motivating, compassionate, professional and dedicated to their patients. On Sunday's the live entertainment is great. My aunt enjoyed the crafts and activities with recreation, especially tea time (she loves flavored teas). If you or your family needs rehab, this is the place to come.

Where to begin. This place is terrible. The residents are left sitting in their wheelchairs all day in the dining room with wet diapers reeking of urine. The staff are underpaid and do the bare minimum. The director acts like an absentee owner and his contact information is the most guarded information at Adira. Medicaid/Medicare needs to seriously investigate this place. Patients are given meds to make them compliant and docile and make the staff’s job easier. If you have family there do your due diligence and make surprise visits. You will be unpleasantly surprised at what you find.

My mothers cousin was a resident there from December 24, 2002 until September 30, 2003 when she died. She was 81 years old when I had to place her there. She had one sister who died in 2000 and was her care giver. Malotz had recently opened when Margaret was admitted. My own mother was dead already. This was one of the hardest things I had to do in my life. From the day she was admitted till the day she died, she received OUTSTANDING, CARING and COMPASSIONATE attention. The building and her room were immaculate. There was no nursing home smell. Everyone was attentive and polite. Even when I had questions, I always received an answer right away and done in a courteous and informative way. I know I am writing a lot but one quick story. One very very cold night I received a call about 9 PM telling me that Margaret was moved to another room (number was given to me) so that if I came and did not find her in her regular room, they dis not want me to become upset. Of course my cousin was in constant pain, rheumatoid arthritis, fractured discs in her back and very hunched over. They tried the best they could to make her comfortable. I recommend this place 110%

I just came across this website, and was surprised to read some of the the reviews. My aunt has been a patient there for about 3 years now and I truly believe in my heart that the PROPER nursing care she has been receiving has kept her going. The staff are very caring and always respectful of patients, they are always willing to help. The place may need a little updating, but what is most important is the care. My auntie loves the food and when there is something she does not want, other options are always available.

This is by far one the best Nursing Homes in Westchester County. I have had several relatives and friends in numerous nursing homes and they do not compare to the care and attention given to these patients. They have more staff per patient ratio in the area. I understand you want the best for "grandma" but your "grandma" is not the only "grandma" in the nursing home and they all need care and attention. The people who complain the most about nursing home care are the ones that EXPECT OTHERS to care for their "grandma" BUT for a variety of reasons can't or won't do it themselves. If you feel you can do better, then by all means take care of grandma yourself, it's not as easy as you think.

AWFUL NURSING HOME! My grandma has been in here for about a year and she continously has UTI'S ..she ends up back in the hospital due to fever. She soaks through her diapers and clothes because they leave her in a wheelchair all day without changing her. The staff is awful and does not care about anything. There has been multiple instances where she has fallen either out of bed or out of the wheel chair and the aids on duty have actually lied about what has happen.

This place is horrible. Neither staff nor management care about the patients. There are no activities for patients. Patients are left sitting in bed or wheelchair all day, diapers are not changed regularly, patients are not cleaned properly. Plates of food are just left in front of the patients and no one cares whether they eat or not. If you love your relatives do not send them there.

This facility is HORRIBLE and the rooms FILTHY. Most of the nurses do not assess the patients and communicate with the doctors or f/u with the patients response to the medications ordered. They rely on the patients family to fight for their needs and you better hope a family member or friend is a medical professional. Most assistant nurses/CNA's do the bare minimum and let residents in diapers that are unable to speak their needs, sit in urine and feces for hours until they do their cares. This causes the resident undo rashes and Urinary tract infection. When their meal trays are distributed they don't care weather the resident eats or not. They do not turn and position immobile resident every 2 hours increasing the risk for pressure ulcers and ultimately infections. I have not seen the majority of the staff , all departments, do their job appropriately . It is a sad place to live.

I needed to go in for rehabilitation on my leg. I am 59 yrs old. The general poulation is elderly.I was in 1 month. I found the staff very friendly, and helpful,,the place was very clean. I liked the fact that the residents don't "hang" out in the hallways, like most nursing facilities..their is a common room for that. Very pleasant, food not the best, but, nourishing. I would go back again if I needed to.Therapists very friendly and helpful.
