Norton Place Home was terrible. The place was old and rundown. We were there the day after it had snowed. We had an appointment with them, but the walk wasn't even cleared. There were eight inches of snow we had to trudge through to get to the front door. The furnishings were old, beat up and not very clean. The place itself was very small. There were only three residents and a room for one more. All the residents were in bed in the middle of the afternoon in their rooms. Two out of the three residents were awake, but they were just sitting in bed. There were no activities going on. It was awful. I wouldn't recommend anybody placing anyone there.

Norton Place Home was very pretty. If I decided I needed to take a vacation, that would be great for my father-in-law, but you have to be able to climb stairs to live there. It was very small and it only had three beds. The staff member during the tour seemed nice. With the potential of a maximum of three residents, there is not going to be a whole lot offered. The cleanliness was very nice, but the layout was just not appropriate for him.

Norton Place Home would have been my second choice for Dad. The staff was very nice and friendly. They had bingo, dances, outings, and all kinds of activities. The whole place looked very nice.
