This facility is top notch compared to other facilities in the area. Are they perfect? No, but who is? There is no smell of urine or nasty odors like there are when you first step into other rehab/nursing facilities. The greeters are friendly and the entrance is full of light and plants. There are many activities for residents to chose from; weather they participate or not is up to them, but they are encouraged to do so. The food seems pretty good too. If there is ever a problem with my mom all I need to do is call the head nurse, Cindy, and she is always responsive. She doesn't make excuses, she takes any complaint seriously. She doesn't try to make it go away, she addresses it and tries to make sure that it doesn't happen again by providing an education for her staff. I'm a firm believer that everyone deserves a chance to do better. So, if you ever have a complaint here, please bring it to their attention before writing a bad review, and give them the opportunity to do better; as they more than likely will do just that. I wish that anyone looking for long term care could get their loved one into this facility if they don't have the capacity to care for them at home.

Lutheran Care Center at Concord Village looked well-run. It was clean and bright. There seemed to be good interaction between the staff and the residents. The staff who showed me around was engaging, nice, and informative.

My mother always sounds so happy even when she is tired! PLEASE try here first

I was a patient there for 28 days in the rehab section. I have nothing but high praise for this place. The entire staff, nursing, dietary, maintenance, physical therapy was phenomonal. The rooms are kept clean, the leisure rooms at the ends of the halls are very relaxing with plenty of window views. The nursing, and in my case, the physical therapy was the best I could ever have imagined. i Highly recommend this care center.

My dad was in Lutheran Care Center at Concord Village out in Poughkeepsie. They took care of my dad for the last two years of his life and they were wonderful with him. He had hospice care and he passed in July. He didn't have hospice care when he first got there, but he ended up in hospice care for the last month and a half of his life. In between the hospice care and the staff at Lutheran, everybody was just wonderful. The meals were kind of like nursing home food. It wasn't terrible, but I wouldn't say it was great. The facility was kind of dated but it was always clean and the layout was fine. They also offered activities for my dad and they were wonderful.

My dad was in Lutheran Center At Poughkeepsie: Girton Danny L MD for therapy, and it was a good one. They were great, it was wonderful. The facility is nice, it's clean, and the nurses were really sweet, caring, and kind. And you don't usually find that. The food was good and his therapy was pretty amazing. He liked all his therapists and they did a great job. Since insurance pays for it, the value for the money was good. It's expensive, but it's probably worth it. They had good activities over at their nursing home. He cried when he left because he loved everybody so much, and they were crying when he left, and they have big hearts.

My mother is moving into Lutheran Center at Poughkeepsie. I toured it last month. My mother was there once for therapy years ago. They made some really nice improvements, and she felt very comfortable going there. They redid a whole big patio area where they had outside concerts, so they updated the facility itself. Everybody is extremely friendly, very nice, and the residents seemed happy. Everything was very clean. They had somebody come in if you want to get a haircut, they have people come in for that. They keep the residents active, there's a rec room, there's a lot of different things, and if you want to participate, you can. There might be bingo in the afternoon.

As with most facilities no one can take care of mom like you can but the nurse patient ratio was smaller than most. When you enter the building there was no smell of urine and feces that you find with most facilities. There was also lots of daily activities for my mom to enjoy including a salon in house and a dining room where she would eat with other elderly people of her age. The residents seemed very friendly and in happy moods. They all were hanging out in a common area, when approached all of them had moderately positive things to say. The staff is very considerate of the family. I tend to be overbearing and they always put up with my nagging with a smile. The rooms were pretty large and there are private rooms available. Most rooms have a nice view of the country outside. All of the rooms have windows. Parking and accesibility to the facility is very conveniant.

The staff at the Lutheran Center were very positive in terms of my grandfathers recovery, and were also very attentive to his needs. The workers at the Lutheran Center pushed my grandfather when working in physical therapy. Aside from the physical therapy, the Lutheran Center was a very welcoming place. Everyone staff and patients in the Lutheran Center were friendly towards my grandfather. On some days the Lutheran center would hold a movie night or a bingo night to keep all residents involved. The facility was very clean, and everything was new and up to date. Every morning they had a priest come in and preform a daily mass.
