Lpn nurses are great. Jackie the Lpn boss was very helpful. Short staff. I see the same staff working every day. Mom left now from hall 1 private room. Hope they give the LPN a raise because shes always around when we need someone at 6pm giving us ice, change mom, mom smiles when she enter the room, answer our questions, etc.

My dad lived the last 3 years of his life at Suffolk Center. During his time there his health was always very stable. No colds, no flu never went to the hospital for anything. Ge was unable to feed himself, his weight was always stable. He was unable to walk and he never had a bed sore.. the nurses and staff were always professional and kind. The facility is not real fancy but I did see a lot of positive changes during the time my dad was there .. the most impost thing to me was my dads well being.. I am grateful to the staff for there kindness.

Absolutely terrible, just terrible. If the director of nursing or administration doesn't care about the nurses and aides they 100% DO NOT care about your relative. My brother was send there after he fell to get stronger - the place is filthy dirty I don't know how state hasn't shut this place down. Few nurses were good and seemed genuine like they cared but it was obvious that everyone there is over worked and under paid. The one nurse who was taking care of my brother was rushing and seemed uninterested in caring for my brother .. when I asked my brother what her deal was he said that she was mandated and forced to stay - so dangerous ! The only pro about this facility was the location for me. Otherwise the filth and uncleanliness is just mind blowing, the staff are over worked and under appreciated by DON which reflects on their care and VERY unsafe my brother was not taken cared of properly and fell AGAIN very very unsafe, dirty facility if you have the slightest feeling or want to give this facility the benefit of the doubt of sending a love one there DO NOT. It will cause more damage of health for your loved one and administration does not care about anyone but themselves and the money that they get. This facility would have a chance of they would put some money towards it and not towards their pockets. STAY CLEAR FROM SUFFOLK CENTER.

Terrible, 90 year old uncle placed there after hip fracture. did mot send him out for 2 different doctor appointment, 1 for hip fracture staple removal other for pace maker placement check, then when they discharge him doctor copied med list and wrote "Dear Pharmacy, please fill a 3 month supply of Rx's". Phamacy said this isn't legal and would not fill. called Suffolk Center and told them, said they would speak to Dr and get back to us, never did!!

I am a friend or relative of a resident

My grandpa is currently living in this care center. He is unable to walk at the moment so the people there are helping him daily. The staff is great. They are always watching out for him and providing him with good food. They are always there when my grandpa is in need of help or wants anything. The staff is always friendly. They are also friendly to the visitors. It is a nice place to be at. The atmosphere is calm and nice. There are many things to do for entertainment. My grandpa is happy to be living there. His health greatly improved ever since his stay at the care center. It used to be hard for him to talk and move. Now he is much better at both. The staff at this Suffolk care center are obviously doing their jobs well. Whenever i visit, they would always assist me with any request i made. This care center is amazing for anyone to be at.

I visited this facility

I have a grandfather that goes to this nursing home. He can not walk. This place offers really good service. There are always nurses available to help at any given moment just in case an emergency happens. There is a special button my grandpa can press next to his bedside just in case of an emergency. This is a convenient good service. The nurses at this place are very respectful kind and professional. My grandpa is a very loud person and he yells a lot. The nurses had tolerated his bad behavior. That just proves how professional the nurses are. The only thing bad about the nursing home it the atmosphere. That place sis not exactly look like a fancy hotel. I also disliked the way that placed smelled. The place smells like urine. If the nursing home provided a better atmosphere I would rank it five stars. It is still overall a good nursing home.
