Grandmother was on comfort care and even after begging doctor, he refused to give pain medications. She died in utter complete pain without receiving any pain medications

Don’t take your love one there. My sister was transfer from the rehab floor to the nurseing home floor the room she was transferred to was not clean prior to her being place in that room.the closet was dirty and had the other person belonging no one answer the phone at the nurses station the supervisor office only the security at the front desk. Some of the caregivers have attitude you are scared to ask a question if you do ask no one can answer your question the place smell like urine no one knows what is going on with the patient I am so disappointed I would never recommend this facility to my friends or family.all here clothes was lost no one could tell us what happened to here clothes

Skip this place. They claim to have stretcher dialysis but not provided. Food is horrible. Spent so much $ sending food to patient. Front desk person, elderly gentlemen needs a hearing aid and very frustrating dealing with a person that cannot hear instructions. Nursing (aides) staff is unreachable a majority of the time and act as if you are bothering them. My relative needed sounded quite ill and told aid/nurse she needs to see doctor. That did not happen until dialysis went to retrieve patient. This is not a good place for someone that has special needs mentally and/or physically. The staff wants patients that sleep or have no way to convey their needs. If it were not for dialysis needs I would have never chosen this place. The patient hated every moment there. Unfortunately my relative passed in the hospital after being transported by facility and not even a call from social worker ? Unprofessional. Skip this place is the best advice.

I am in Weschester. They’re very friendly with good nurses and have a great physical therapy program. The food is not that great, but other than that, they’re pretty good.

My mother was in this facility for approximately 4 years and although the personal care was great there are many other issues. The food is lousy and many of the residents family either brings them food or the residents order food from nearby places. The administrative staff changes weekly therefore one can never get any issues resolved. In 4 years we only had one care plan meeting and you really have to be very careful on how they handle a resident's finances. Some of the administrative staff is rude and refuse to respond to basic questions.

The Westchester Center is in a residential area that has a nice and quiet neighborhood. Mom is now enjoying her daily routine and she's at home there. She has her own room because she's suffering from Alzheimer's. The rooms are nice and clean but they can get better now because the entire facility is going through modernization. This facility is also well-staffed. I like it best that residents are never really alone. The staff is very friendly and open. I had a conference with the entire staff within a week that my mom was there. They explained what their jobs were and they actually wanted feedback. They wanted to know how my mom was, like if she was complaining about anything. It was a welcome experience to see that they had that. I guess they also do the same thing on meeting with the loved ones of every new patient. I got each one of them caught so they're not hiding anything. I thought that was a big plus. Westchester also has a rehabilitation section, so a patient really gets exercise and gets more than just a nursing home. Furthermore, my mom enjoys the food. She said it's good and she's eating well. This facility is above the many nursing homes I've visited over the years. I'm satisfied with the care my mom receives.
