My mother is now at Medford Multicare Center. The staff is very friendly. They have good medical facilities. If anything happens or anything goes wrong, they seem to be on top of whatever is needed in that respect. However, my mom complains about the food all the time. The food is not good. They have some recreational stuff. They have a salon for women to get their hair done, and they have an eye doctor come in and check their eyes. My mom got glasses while she was there. They have a dentist that they can go to see like once or twice a week. They have some good options. I saw the rooms downstairs, which is more of a hospital room. The staff members are very friendly. The place is clean. It's pretty easy to get around. My mother is having some respiratory issues, so she's in the unit where they take care of that kind of stuff. Down there it's very much like a hospital room.

My wife is in Medford Multicare Center right now. The place is wonderful. I don't have any complaints about them at all. The facility needs some work, but they are working on it. They got doctors, nurses, dentists, and a hair salon. The staff members are fabulous. They're friendly and helpful. The food is excellent. They have bingo and stuff. If anybody needed help, I would send them to this place.

The care that my mom receives from the recreation staff to the nurses and aides have been wonderful. My mom's been at Medford Multicare for 10 years and she has been loved by b everyone. They play games, do arts and craft, they do her nails and hair and give her great care. My family appreciates this Nursing home so much.

Too bad there's no allowance for "0" stars! If you have a loved one with dementia who requires rehab REFUSE to allow them to be sent here! The dementia unit is understaffed, the good workers are literally burnt out & working double shifts and the bad ones just play on their phones. Visiting (except after dinner was discouraged!...I think so you couldn't see the neglect!...in 5 days, I NEVER saw a rehab room...they used the hallway! A fall the night before leaving went UNREPORTED on the discharge papers, but resulted in a subsequent hospitalization 6 days later!...I was Horrified!

My dad was at Medford Multicare Center. I would not recommend them. On the weekends, when we went, my father was locked in a wheelchair in a dirty diaper. I was trying to change him myself, and I couldn't even find a staff member to help me. Overall, I don't want to send my dad back there. I like the physical therapist there. The food is bad. The building itself was OK, and it was clean. My dad has Medicare and supplement Cigna. I'm not impressed with them all.

I recently required subacute care for an injured knee. While hospitalized, I had to select a facility. In reading current online reviews, it seemed the majority felt I was doomed no matter what facility I chose. I opted for Medford Multicare Center(MMC). The past three years have changed the world as we knew it. The time of COVID-19 has left it’s mark on us forever. My stay here at present has been for seven weeks. Time enough I feel to be objective in telling of my stay. My injury requires some intense physical therapy(PT). All my therapists have been concerned and compassionate in their care of me. Ratings require a food category. Am I looking for a five star epicurean experience or can my money be better spent in improving my physical well being? I am rather large but have found my appetite and taste buds satisfied after every meal. I am also very satisfied with the nursing staff, doctors, aides, and housekeeping. Above I mention our changed world. One of those changes has been in employment. Employers in all categories cannot find help. Healthcare has not escaped this challenge. At the times my needs are not being immediately addressed, I know it is because another patient with more urgent needs is being tended to. Come my turn, which can seem forever(However, it was not that long!), I am greeted with a warm and ingratiating smile. Then, asked with sincerity what is my need. Which is addressed with care and compassion. Even though the nurse or aide is on hour 15 of their 16 hour double shift! Therapeutic recreation brightens up our day with a host of daily activities including weekends. They manage to bring a smile to our sometimes dour and sullen faces. Dour and sullen only because we are thinking of home! During the course of a week there is something offered for everyone. My social worker checks on me regularly and has been very helpful in seeing that I am comfortable here. She also has been very thorough in seeing that I will have the correct items to be comfortable when I am discharged. Lastly, administration will also lend an ear and tend to your needs if required

The neglect at this facility is egregious. My family member has been denied the basic medical care that he requires to survive. Now, in the era of covid-19, illness and injury will likely be written off as pandemic-related, when in fact it is caused by horrific medical mismanagement. The state will catch up with you, but in the meantime, how do you live with yourselves knowing the pain and sorrow you have caused countless lonely, ill, and helpless patients? This facility exemplifies everything that is wrong with our broken healthcare system. In addition to denying my loved one basic medical care, this facility provides little to no way for residents to call out to speak with family. There are no phones in the rooms and cell phone service is nonexistent. If anyone is considering sending a family member here, think again. The pain and heartbreak on the other side of that decision are not worth the risk.

I was loath to give it one star but couldn't give it none. Regarding and regretting Medford Multicare Center for Living I was trapped there for almost three months this Spring. Their M.O. seems to be to keep you there as long as they can so they can keep every bed filled as long as possible. My health was deteriorating while I was there due to {among other reasons} sleep deprivation. I have insomnia with a broken sleep pattern. So I normally sleep from 10 pm to around 2 am then again from 6 or 7 am for several hours. I was given a roommate who blasted his TV at full volume from 7am to 11pm whether he was in the room or not. So I was able to get less than four hours of sleep a night the entire time. Due to Covid-19 it was almost impossible to see or speak with a doctor. It went so far that I had to have an attorney set up a Care Plan Meeting to help me escape.

This place is the WORST rehab/nursing home on Long Island. The aides and nurses do not take care of the residents. Unfortunately 90% of the staff is horrible. The other 10% are good but that is not enough. The asst director Joan does not return phone calls. It’s been a week with no response. The aides make you wait an hour or more when you need a bedpan because they can’t be bothered or they are lazy. It’s been 8 days and no shower or wash up for the resident. The orders For medication from doctors are not being followed. One Night shift nurse blames the 7 to 3 shift nurse for not doing her job. They all pass the blame around. They DO NOT CARE about their patients. The patient watched as the aide threw things against the wall out of anger. This is not acceptable. Still waiting More then 2 weeks For xrays. This is an ongoing problem since before the covid19 virus. There’s no excuse for this disgusting behavior and treatment of patients. This place needs to be investigated by the state and shut down. This place is -10 stars or more. DO NOT PUT YOUR FAMILY HERE!!!

I was a bit hesitant and apprehensive in the beginning because of the situation that had occurred years ago. But I took a chance and decided to get my Rehab at Medford. TO my surprise, this facility was exceptional! The nursing staff were pleasant and receptive to my needs. The Rehab staff were phenomenal and so motivating. The food was good like any other place that you would go to, but the service and communication was amazing! They discharged me in 12 days after my surgery and I feel brand new! My suggestion is to really go for a tour and meet with the team to really see the new and improved system they have going on there! I definitely recommend Medford! -Susan W

My Grandfather stayed at Medford Multicare, and the care that was given was second to none. I know that Medford has been in the media and has a cloud over them, but while my grandfather was there, I didn't see or feel any negative issues at all. The staff are friendly, warm understanding and very accommodating. My grandfather went to Medford for Short term rehab and got the proper rehabilitation he needed in order for him to get back to his community. I am so grateful to the team at Medford and I thank you so much for all your help and guidance to make my grandfather come back home safe and happy. The rooms are clean and spacious and beautiful views of trees and gardens, the interactions with staff were very positive and welcoming. The activities director and staff are always inviting and there was always something for my grandfather to be apart of and enjoy. overall a fantastic place for Short term rehab!

Recently my wife passed away in this facility. While a resident I consider the care given to her was exceptional. The problems this facility have are related to the kitchen staff not filling orders properly and often dissention among the some of the aids. Some of the aids had no personality to have a job like they do. Some need to learn what there tasks really entail.

Although this facility may have had issues in the past, it has transformed into an exceedingly competent and compassionate place. There are a whole bunch of new staff who are experienced nurses. They also have an abundance of staff compared with other nursing homes around. My mother is well taken care of andI feel safe knowing the care is so good.

This is a terrible place to be in my end days. Aides do not listen to my request, have waited up to thirty minutes for call lite responses. Lack of respect and dignity. It is a warehouse for the elderly and disabled. Attitude comes from the top down and it is very obvious that money is the priority...no wipes or even drys to clean yourself. If patient care was the first concern ,that attitude would be filtering down. There should be 6 aides on the floor, there are usually 4 but have been as low as 2 &3. The staff may have a better attitude if they too were treated better.. Food is truly terrible. The showers are lukewarm. Must have turned down temperature to save money. There are some caring and loving aides and I always wait and hope for them. Of course for liability reasons...this is only one dying persons opinion!

My mother is in Medford Multicare Center for Living. It’s not good. Some of the nurses are very lax and don’t listen to what the patients ask them. Her room has old furniture that needs to be replaced, but they do keep it clean. The food is not tasty at all, and the dining room is just a big, very plain, not fancy room. They have bingo and bring in entertainers.

I can't tell you enough about Medford Multicare. They have the best nursing staff and aides. They are so caring and everyone from the front desk to the business office, and the social workers and the rehab and the nursing and the recreation offices, and administration, and the dietician office, and the clean up crew etc., in case I've missed someone are also. They take such wonderful care of my husband and I have never seen more compassion for those on the 3rd floor. You have to be a special person to work there! Thank you so much !

I put my mother into this nursing home for a year and was very unsatisfied with the conditions in which she was treated. Within the first few months the staff constantly pushed her needs aside and left her unattended to the point of where she got bedsores. I insisted the staff who take care of my mother be changed and her stay there improved. The food was tasteless, or rather had very little flavor but no matter what the meal was all the food had the same consistency. My mother had complained of an upset stomach and diareah the first two weeks of eating their food. When I visited her I saw the ignorance of the staff and how they treated her like a person "in their way". When I approached the Head Nurse she talked to me as if I didn't know any better about how they ran their home. Overall, I did not approve of the service and conditions of this nursing home and would not recommend it as a caring facility.
