My mother moved into Keepsake Village at Greenpoint. The people are very nice, and they also go the extra mile and get us certifications. So that if there's a problem that they can take care of there instead of going to a hospital or a rehab, they'll do it. She doesn't have to move around from here to there. They do exercise, music, arts and crafts, they have something going on most of the time there. They say she is eating well. She's visiting with the other residents. Her room is beautiful, it comes with a bed, a dresser, and a nightstand. Nice big bathroom, a pulled string in the bathroom and by the bed. She's got two double windows. So, she's got a lot of light that comes in. They show movies and they have popcorn and movie times, and they have snacks. They have breakfast, snacks, and then lunch and then snacks. And in between, they're doing activities. There's always something else to drink or eat in the kitchen, all they have to do is go and ask for it.

Keepsake Village at Greenpoint was OK. It was very similar to the other facilities. They all were studios, and that was the best you could get. There were no apartments or anything. There were no two rooms. There's a bathroom and a bedroom, so I'll have to downsize my mother considerably going anywhere. They have quite a few shared rooms, too. The staff who gave the tour was very nice. I know they had activities, but I couldn't tell what they were.

The staff at Keepsake is wonderful! My Dad has been a resident for 11 months at this point. He has had a very sharp decline in his Alzheimer’s progression since moving in AND the staff has had to contend with COVID-19. Despite both of these things the staff continues to be upbeat, friendly, and efficient with the residents. I had originally wanted a single room for my Dad to give him privacy but we encountered a health situation that required him to move in ASAP and a double room was what came available first. The Keepsake team worked carefully to pair my Dad with an appropriate roommate. The guys hit it off quickly and would often be seen taking walks through the hallways together to get exercise. The room is always clean and neat and the bedding is always fresh. Plan to supply everything for the room just like you would for renting your own apartment. Towels and linens, light bulbs, etc. They have furniture available. Each resident would get a bed, nightstand, chair, dresser, and lamp. But you can have those swapped out for you loved one’s own belongings if you prefer. Bringing my Dad things from home just made him more concerned about his stay not being “temporary” so we stuck with the provided items. When writing this review the field asked “what are things you would have liked to know?” So I’m going to take a second to educate. Be appreciative of the people who care for your loved one. They work diligently and often thanklessly at a very difficult job. With dementia our loved ones often don’t know to say “thank you” anymore which means that it’s even more important for you as the family to show your appreciation. These team members provide exceptional care for our loved ones in exactly the way I myself would care for my Dad if I could. I am grateful for the Keepsake staff every day.

Keepsake Village at Greenpoint's location, the cleanliness, and the way the facility is laid out are good. The person who gave me the tour was very nice, informative, and answered all of my questions. The dining area was very clean and well-organized. The rooms were very clean and spacious. The facility was kept up to date. There were no signs of deterioration or damage. It was very appealing.

My dad has been in Keepsake Village for a week. The rooms are adequate for what they need and clean. The staff has been OK. The dining area is clean. They can probably use more staff.

Keepsake Village at Greenpoint was beautiful. We liked it very much. It's clean and modern, and I liked their schedule functions. I think it keeps their minds active. They had a lot of nice things listed, like day trips. The staff was very friendly. I was very impressed with the facility. Everything was nice. My mother-in-law liked it. It seemed like a very good place. They can improve by having people stay temporarily to try it out first.
