My wife has moved in. It's a very nice place. I have no problem with it. It's very clean. The people were very nice, they made it really feel like they were family there. We were impressed with the cleanliness and the demeanor of all the people in it. Everybody was moving around. They have a ton of activities and that's exactly what she needed; she had to be around people. She wasn't doing well at home if it would just be me watching her. It was just a very impressive place to be. Right now, she is in assisted living. They are redoing their memory care. The staff were very helpful. She's eating things she never eats before; she loves the food. She's doing things that she doesn't even like to do, like gospel singing, bingo. There's a ton of amenities. The place was convenient. It was easy to get to, and it's close to home where we live. I think it's only nine miles from home. It was very nice and in a very good location.

Today I toured Park Terrace at Radisson. It was extremely clean. The young lady who took us around was very knowledgeable. The people seemed to be happy. Five men were sitting outside, and they all seemed to be happy. The staff was very knowledgeable. There were some nurses there. And the cleanliness was one of the things I really like. I saw the menu, too, and it looked very nice. The room was small, but otherwise very nice. There's a refrigerator and a nice closet there. There's no bed, but people can bring their own beds.

Park Terrace at Radisson was very nice. I like the facility itself. The only big drawback was that the memory care section was very small, and they did not have any outside area for the residents to go outside and sit because of Radisson's rules about fences. So obviously, memory care has to be secure. That was my drawback there. The staff who gave the tour was very nice though. They have activities, but I didn't see any at the time. I went during lunchtime, and the residents were eating.

Park Terrace at Radisson has assisted living, memory care, and respite. The property was well-kept. The woman who showed me around was Beth. It wasn't as modern as I would have liked, but their activities looked fantastic and they had a lot. The room I saw was not very big. The menu looked interesting, and the staff assured me that because it was assisted living, there were medical people on staff. That was also why that property was a little more expensive. That was the first place I visited and I came away impressed. As far as negative, the only thing is that just looking at the people, I could see that a lot of them were there because they needed assistance, but my wife is a very vibrant individual. I don't think she would feel that she could fit in there as well and make as many friends as she can. They have a game room, a couple of meeting rooms, and a very cute little room with a popcorn machine that they fixed up so it would look like something out of the fifties. The grounds around there were nice. Radisson itself is a very nice property. I liked the fact that with dining, you feel like you're eating in a restaurant because the waiters come and take your order.

My mother is here. So far, they've been great. They've been very attentive, and they've been communicating regularly with myself and my mother's physicians. It's a million times better than the rehab she was at before she went there. They get to know their residents individually and personally and try to meet their needs. They're really good. I haven't been in her apartment because of COVID. They do daily exercises in a group setting, they go for coffee and ice cream afterwards in the little cafe that they have, and they have had several holiday-related activities. My mother chose not to participate in the gingerbread house making, but she goes to daily exercise and to coffee afterwards. They have a memory care unit, but she's in the assisted living. We're just happy that she's out of the rehab. It's a breath of fresh air.

We were given a tour and shown all the amenities. We were offered a return visit with lunch, and we were contacted via phone and email to see what we thought about the facility. They offered assistance for any future needs. If my mother needed physical therapy, they would make that happen. There's a bus that will take them out on outings, and there's the in-facility activities like baking and arts and crafts. It's absolutely wonderful.

I have to say that the person who took us on the tour was exemplary and spent a lot of time with us. They were interested in my mom and asked a lot of questions with regard to her. They were also able to answer all our questions. When we walked into the facility, it was very warm and welcoming. People were moving around, smiling, and happy. We were greeted right away. The rooms were probably some of the nicest and a good size. One thing I like about that is that the colors were more appealing. It was a bright facility with lots of light, and it was very clean. The bathrooms were right in their rooms, and they could shower in their rooms. They even had a little kitchen area with a little refrigerator. Because they are connected with an assisted living, they have some joint activities that the people in the memory care can go to. They have many different kinds of activities, and they have activities specific for memory care where you could stay right in that one wing with the memory care. The reason why I was attracted to that memory care facility is that it was small. It was only a 13-bed facility as supposed to some of the other ones. In the memory care, instead of having them read the menu, they are going to bring two dishes to them and let them chose which one they would like.
