My mom has been at Valley Vista for a year now. Her room is bright and cheerful. The bathroom is large enough for a walker and the shower and toilet is handicapped accessible. All the people that work at Valley Vista have the residents best interest in mind. My mom loves to interact with everyone there. There have been several monthly activities that have been very creative and fun. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and residents can walk to the pond with all the baby geese and beautiful fountain.

The staff at Valley Vista are incredible - My sister haas been a resident for almost two years now. They saved her life! I can talk to staff whenever needed. They make me feel like my sister is their only resident. The dining room had a makeover last year and is really attractive. The grounds are really beautiful as well. I can sleep at night knowing my sister is well cared for.

I went to see Valley Vista Senior Care a couple of years back when I was trying to get my mother in. They were warm, and they were friendly. It was clean. My mother didn't want to share a room, but that's all they had available at the time, but it wasn't bad. The rooms were smaller than I expected. They weren't bad, but my mother wasn't interested in sharing a room. She was able to see a little bit of the place. I went with her, and she wasn't happy with it because she doesn't want to be in assisted living, and that's the whole thing. Otherwise, the place wasn't bad, it was okay. It wasn't like a palace or anything, but it was simple and clean. The property was beautiful. I remember seeing a couple of cats, and I thought that might help my mother because she can't have a cat. She can't take care of it, but she can't see, so it is hard, so we were hoping that she would want that. They were very cordial. Everything was good. The staff who gave me the tour was wonderful. She was very helpful. It's an older facility but it was OK. There was like a sitting room/library thing if they wanted to do that. They had a puzzle going on, too. They did crafts, and they had an arts and crafts room. It wasn't as homey as I wanted it to be, but it was clean.

Valley Vista Senior Care is pretty nice. I like the scenery, the area, and the outlook of the place. The buildings were kind of old and could have been more updated. The staff who assisted me was very friendly and courteous. The facilities looked pretty good to me, and it's very clean. They also had a salon and a courtyard, and it's close to restaurants.

I think Valley Vista is between 3 and 4 stars. I am mostly pleased with the facility. My parent has a shared room. Single rooms are available, but they are not covered by Medicaid and would be very expensive. You can furnish the room as you like (provide your own furniture or the facility will do so), and even with 2 people, they are roomy. The facility has 4-5 sitting/lounge areas, two with large-screen TVs, and people tend to have their regular areas. There is an activity room with games, puzzles, cards, crafts, etc., which seems a little small for the size of the place. The grounds are very nice; it's a nice country setting in the front with an expansive sloping lawn and a pond. There are 2 or 3 patios, which are also nice and cared for. There are a few regular feral cats outside, which residents feed and seem to enjoy. I like that Valley Vista encourages upright mobility (i.e. walking). Most people use walkers, canes or no assist. A very few are in wheelchairs. I have heard complaints that the meals are served tepid, but I've seen this problem at other facilities. Not sure why this sort of thing can't be managed better. But the staff are friendly and helpful and have always been available when you need them. Of course I'm not there on a daily basis, but it seems like they could have a few more organized activities that target different interest and ability groups. Overall, it's a nice place with a homey feel. (I've experienced 5 elder care facilities, and, with all, I recommend never leaving valuable items. If your person has valuable or heirloom wedding and engagement rings, etc., I would always advise to replace them with a fake. They can get lost, misplaced or stolen.

I would rate this facility as four stars for a number of reasons. The staff that we interacted with were all very friendly, happy to talk to family members and update us on our loved ones conditions. If there was ever an issue or a problem, the nurses and aides would call to let us know immediately and ask for our advice and input. My grandfather was very happy with the women who took care of him at this facility, as they became friends and not just "helpers" They were genuinely interested in his life and his story and loved to chit-chat. The facility itself is very nice, both of my relatives had their own private rooms with all of the necessary amenities. The outside grounds are very well-kept and beautiful, great for talking family members out on a short walk to get some fresh air. Dining is very similar to typical cafeteria food, but different choices were available and family was welcome to bring food in at any time.
