My husband was sent to Nassau Rehabilitation & Nursing Center. It was all right. They called me every other day to let me know his condition, how he was doing, and what they were doing to keep him comfortable. I appreciated that they would keep me updated. The staff was OK. They were caring and concerned just as much as I was concerned, especially one of the social workers, Debra. She was very helpful. The facility itself was very nice. It's very large. You go inside, it's very clean, and everybody seems to know what they're doing. They can direct you to wherever you need to go and whatever you need to do. I didn't have any problems with him being there. They have social services and physical therapy. He didn't get to do too much of that, and he wasn't really able to do too much walking. Everybody was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Do NOT put your loved one in Long Term Care. My mother suffered beyond measure during the last month plus of her life at this facility. She sustained a fracture to her right femur, her entire arm was black and she had a very disturbing bed sore. She had to have surgery with a large steel bar & screws inserted into her leg. She did not survive the surgery. The Administrator's answer to these horrific things that my mother had to endure when I asked him what happened, was: "As far as I know, there was no incident. These things happen. I would not place a loved one in Long Term Care.

I was a resident of this facility and would not go back. The place is clean and that is the only positive thing I can say. The nursing staff ignore you when they have to do anything extra. Complaints to the administrator Fall on deaf ears. This place is not interested in your care they are looking at how much money they can make. I would not return.

Having been here 3 times over the past year and a half I believe I am more than amply certified to give my opinion of this facility. What more can I say than....OUTSTANDING!! From admissions(Jacob&Keith)to social work(Lamina)to the fantastic care from the nursing staff(Ayanna,Iovannia,Georgia,Joanie,Marcine,Ingrid)to the wonderful aides(Sandra,Chyna,Marcy,Deborah,Mingo,Velma)excellent physical&occupational therapy dept.(Joe,John,Mr's Jing&Polly,Sharone,Patricia,Shawnette,Anna)Dietary(Patricia,Brooke)Housekeeping(Errol)and everyone else whose name I never got. I may be gone but you all will never be forgotten. Through your constant care&consideration&most importantly conversation I felt more like family or friend than a patient. I would be completely remiss if I forgot the nursing supervisors( Janelle,Patricia,Tanya,Martha,Yanique)who always went the extra mile dispensing laughs as well as Vanco! Can never thank you all enough and please take this in the most positive way... Here's to hoping we never see each other again!! Love you all, Kevin O'Brien

I came here for short term. What a place the rehab and nursing staff was A+. Food was ok. When my insurance wanted to cut me off they did everything they can to help!

I had a relative at nassau extended care facility. The admission office does a poor job in explaining charges. I felt that they just wanted to fill a bed. While my relative was there I found out that they have a lot of homeless people. The care was very bad especially on the weekend. I complained but nothing changed. I would not recommend this nursing home .

The hospital recommended Nassau Extended Care to my uncle. The staff is very good and very nice. The rooms are very clean and the food is okay.
