It is now Safire, it is a disgusting place, they leave patients in bed especially on weekends, never change their diapers. I filed many complaints with NYS Health Dept. they make an appointment for an inspection, dumb they need an unannounced visit, each time they don’t find anything wrong. The food is horrible, a few staff members (cna) are nice most nasty.

Worse place ever. My mom lasted only 5 months here. They over dosed her so they wouldn’t have deal with her. Her dirty clothes and sheets were piled up the side of the wall. They let her sit dirty for hours. Her food sucked and usually cold and not even warm. They drove her to a Dr appointment (my dad went with her) and were hours late in picking her up. When she finally got back her bed had no sheets or blankets on it, they were in a pile on the floor. The day she had a stroke and died they had time to get her into hospice but it was too much for them to do, we had that choice. She needed morphine but they were all out. She had to wait almost 3 hours for someone to go and get some. I can write a good, evil place.

This is the most awful place I have ever seen. I went to visit a family member last night and he needed new bandages that he had bled threw and I was told no nurses on duty to help.I asked the one guy on duty to help him and he said I'm busy. I then made mention the other patient in his room asked to go to the bathroom 3 hours ago. I went to front desk made mention and they had forgotten. They came to change him and he has feeding tubes in and they tried to give him pills by mouth when he hasn't eaten or drank fluids for 8 days. Thank god his family member showed up to save his life and stop them. I asked about dinner as it's almost 8pm and they said we are working on it. People left in hallways in wheel chairs and no one around to watch them or help them if needed. This place should be closed down and the few on staff their should be fired for how they treat people. I recorded my entire visit in case something happens to my family member there.

This place is horrible. It takes an hour for anyone to answer the call for nurse. Personal items were stolen. A nurse tried to reuse a catheter that fell on the floor. We found a used blood bag in one of the drawers in the room. They do not care about the people in there. The health department needs to come in again the conditions and care are deplorable.

It shameful how they treat the residents, lined up in their wheelchairs along hallway walls for hours, cries of pain go unanswered, people are left unclothed in bed with their doors open. What kind of facility bars family members from visiting their loved ones during meals? A facility that has something to hide I think. The apathy is systemic. From the top down, the residents are viewed as a medicare commodity to be exploited and nothing else. I rated Ridge View Manor one star only because caring.com doesn't let you enter a rating of zero stars.

My sister was there at Ridge View as a patient. The employees were good and very helpful, but they put her in a semi-private room with another patient who has some type of mental problem. My sister would be up all night with her talking and hollering and the TV. My sister was there for a day, but she said to me, "You gotta get me out of here." However, there was no place to go. After three weeks or more, they finally found a private room for her. The first time we walked in, my wife said the facility was very dirty. The employees were very helpful, and they really tried, but to me, the administration was the problem.

This is a terrible facility. They say they can provide rehab, but have almost no equipment. Many of the staff on the rehab floor Sat and watched TV, ignoring the call lights. My husband's stay was only 1 1/2 weeks, but in that time he lost 10 pounds he couldn't afford to lose, and gained 5 bed sores. I wasn't informed when he fell nor when he decided he didn't want to go to an important appointment that took me some time to set up. My husband couldn't reach his buzzer half the time.

My mother was a resident at this facility and many times when I visited I was very upset to see that she was left lying naked with no bottoms on, in full view of an open door. Our family certainly provided adequate clothing. In addition, she was also left with food trays where containers were not opened or so far away she couldn't reach for them. She was often wheeled into a large dining room and left alone unattended.
