My mother has moved into Good Life Senior Living and Memory Care. It's a small facility. They only have 16 people. The personnel seem to be caring and good. Her room is adequate for somebody who is 92 years old. They have a kitchen, a dining area, a room with a TV, and a room where they can play games. They have a dietitian who plans the meals and makes sure that they're healthy. I ate a couple of meals there, and they were good. It's very clean, in good shape, and has been well taken care of.

THIS PLACE IS AWFUL! Our friend fell and later ended up at the hospital. A few weeks later she died. No one from the facility phoned when she fell and was transported to the hospital. It was Over 24 hours later when the family learned she was in the ICU. Such a scary experience. DON'T TAKE YOUR LOVED ONE TO GOODLIFE IN LOS LUNAS.

This place is the absolute WORST!!! Not only is it expensive but they offer absolutely no care for your loved one. My grandmother hasn’t even been there for a month and in the time she was there she developed a UTI which no one informed us about, she was placed in antibiotics that she was allergic to and then a few days after her UTI she suffered a stroke. I went to check on her and the head nurse chose to go home rather than to care for my grandmother. I was present during this time. They also informed us that the doctor would come check on her and we waited for two days until we found out that they never contacted the doctor. This place is awful!! When we brought my grandmother to this facility we brought her 90 days worth of medication and she has only been there for 30 days and all of her medication is missing and she is now going without her medication because of their mismanagement. There have been several occasions where my grandmother had been left in filth and her own feces for days until we go to visit her to change her. On many occasions she has been left in the bathroom for hours and has resulted in falling from their neglect. This place is a horrible place to take your loved ones and is mismanaged. The food is awful and we end up having to take outside food for my grandmother or she doesn’t eat. The techs that work there are great but the management is beyond disappointing and to top it off they were giving out personal information to people who had no access to the information, huge HIPPA violations. BEWARE!!!!!

Our loved one was at GoodLife. We were there during passing. Our family was caught by surprise with staff being on phones, the poor quality of leadership from administration, and the kitchen. We could hear countless hours of the swearing, yelling, and making rude comments from the cook. Administration talked poorly and negatively about previous staff “as our loved one was dying.” I’m appalled. As a family, we would not recommend taking your loved one here. I was disappointed and will filing a complaint and going to the news.

This facility is horrible! think again before taking your loved ones to this assisted living, you will be doing yourself a favor by not placing anyone you love in this facility! My parent is a resident, this place is awful, avoid completely. When complaints are made they make excuses instead of finding solutions. The state needs to come in and do an audit on everyone & everything!! so disgusted

One must draw a distinction between a nursing home and assisted living/memory care. Good Life IS NOT a nursing home. My late spouse was a resident in the Alzheimer's unit. Yes, sometimes residents are "just milling around." Constant activities are not conducive to keeping dementia patients calm. Residents visit one another, watch TV, wait for visitors and mealtimes in the common area. On-duty staff sometimes must give in-room care to a resident with ADL needs and that is why a visitor might not see them. Facility is clean, food is good, large rooms/private bathrooms, caregivers and staff are attentive to needs of residents, and families are always welcome regardless of time of day.

Good Life has a locked down kind of facility aside their regular facility. It just looked a little bit scary as there’s people wandering around aimlessly, so I didn’t like that at all. I didn’t see any staff in there. When I finally saw someone, she said there weren't any openings -- which was a relief. There weren’t empty rooms to look at, and there were no activities going on during the time I was there.

Good Life looked well kept inside and out. They gave me a complete tour of the place and information about their facilities and the different rooms that they have to offer. They have another unit for Alzheimer’s patients. They gave me information that the facility does not take care of anyone who would need full-time medical help, meaning those that have IVs and catheters or people who need to be in a facility that has round-the-clock doctors and nurses on-site. They have people who come in but not round-the-clock care. The individual was very thorough about providing detailed information, not only about their facility, but also telling me that if I had Alzheimer’s, then I’d have to go into another facility where they’d give me full-time medical care. She showed me two rooms: one that was empty, and one with a resident. I think they’re very nicely done, with windows included to look outside. The place smelled clean and looked clean, so that’s important. The kitchen area, the dining room area, and the sitting area were all open, which was nice. There were railings in the bathroom and in the hallways. They’re certified, so I think that they have all handicapped standards available.

I would like to let you know about the Goodlife in Los Lunas New Mexico. We were expecting a time when Dad (James T.) would need to move into an extend or assisted living facility. The time arrived way too soon, we were not prepared for the suddeness of the need. We were concerned and puzzled about what Assisted living to place him in. Dad didn’t want to stay with any of us. We had heard stories about goings on within those facilities, when we talked with Sandy and received a tour of the facility we were impressed. Today, I would highly recommend the Goodlife for your love one. To working in an Assisted living facility it takes "special people "or one could say a "special calling”.The staff at the Goodlife are those special people. The care they give is Exceptional! They treat each Resident as if they were the only one in the building. The facility is clean, bright and has no odor! The food being prepared is comparable to a quality restaurant. All the meals were made with fresh foods and meal are served on real plates! As for the price; it is great! After searching around the price is within an affordable range. Comparing the Goodlife to other Assisted living Facilities- you get more bang for your buck! Dad wanted to move closer to us, is why he moved. He still remembers the care given, and definitely appreciated the Staff, plus misses them now! Thank you for all you do. The patience, dedication and professionalism is exceptional! Please thank the Staff for their job well done! Keep it up! Ron T.
