My mother is at Haciendas at Grace Village. The care is good. They could have more variety in the food, but there are only 12 people per housing unit, so that limits their choices on what they can offer. Otherwise, she seems to be doing well there. She has adapted to living in an assisted living facility rather than living on her own. It's a good place. It's bright, has nice looking facilities, and is clean.

About Haciendas At Grace Village in Las Cruces, New Mexico
Welcome to Haciendas at Grace Village
Unique design features make The Haciendas at Grace Village among the most outstanding Alzheimer's and dementia care facilities in our region. Not a "facility" but instead, a residence, the Haciendas at Grace Village is comprised of residential-style homes that are intentionally designed to encourage community and familial interactions while excluding institutional elements, such as confusing corridors and hallways. Our thoughtful design and support of each home encourages community activity and and participation that promotes an individual resident's opportunity to thrive while maintaining dignity and promoting continued independence.
All residents have their own private bedroom and bathroom in the house. A home-style kitchen, large dining room, and an open activity/living room are accessible to all residents of the home. Residents also have access to secure and safe outdoor spaces including porches, wandering paths and specially designed therapy gardens. Comprehensively trained staff, holistic programs, thoughtful menus, innovative designs and individualized activities are all aimed to provide each person a dignified, full life that they deserve. From early onset to late stage, we can adjust to meet the needs of your loved one.
From our location overlooking the beautiful Mesilla Valley to our intentional design and purposeful programs, we are confident that you, too, will find the Haciendas at Grace Village to be a distinctly special Assisted Living Facility.
The Haciendas at Grace Village is designed to not only to meet the physical demands and needs of those affected by dementia and Alzheimer’s, but to meet the needs of that person as a whole – to give them a home, not just a place to live. We are dedicated to our conviction and belief in person-centered care: the ethic that all human beings are of absolute value and worthy of respect, no matter their disability, and on a conviction that people with Dementia can live fulfilling lives.
We are proud to be locally owned and operated right here in Las Cruces. Because of this unusual situation, we are here every day to ensure your loved one is cared for and known, and to walk with you and your family through your journey with dignity and grace.
We are small-knit community located directly in between High Range and Sonoma Ranch. We are here to assist you! Give us a call if you have any questions or would like a tour of the Haciendas at Grace Village.

My parents will be moving into Haciendas at Grace Village. It doesn't look like a hospital. It looks more like a home and it was very clean. It looks secure. The staff that I met was very, very nice and informative. The location was very nice. It was a nice neighborhood with beautiful views of the city. They were trying to work with us. Mom and dad are not in there yet, but we're hoping this week. They had an arts and crafts room, a physical therapy room, and a little living room area. They had a therapy dog. We're planning on having both my parents in the same room.

The tour we had at Haciendas At Grace Village was excellent. The staff that I dealt with were very good. The facility itself appears to be quite new and in excellent condition. They offer several activities even as far as cooking classes and things like that. It was pretty interesting. Overall, it's a very, very nice facility.

My mother-in-law moved into Haciendas at Grace Village in October. She does a lot of stuff on her own, but she needs a little bit of help because she forgets sometimes. So far, it has been good. She likes it. They treat her well, and she is very comfortable. They feed her what she wants, and they help her when she needs help. Everyone is very friendly. She is enjoying it. My mother-in-law has a very nice, spacious room. She was able to take the pieces of furniture that she wanted, and they fit really nice. She is very happy with her room. She has a big walk-in shower and a big closet. They have people who can go and do their hair and take people out to certain programs.

Haciendas At Grace Village is very nice, relatively new construction, and well maintained. They have a pretty good staff. Food is good quality and well prepared, but sometimes when it's served, it's not hot, and the service could be better. They come and put the food right in front of my wife, so if I don't move it away from her, she'll put her hands in it, not knowing how to feed herself. That's an example of lack of training on the staff. Their work is not top level in skills, but generally I'm satisfied with the care she is receiving.

Haciendas At Grace Village was appealing. Because there are separate buildings for the different levels of care that they have, it seemed a little institutional. The landscaping is really nice, but it's not big and luxurious. It's very professional and very simple -- which is nice -- but a little too expensive for us. If I had the money, I would have chosen this place. There's a kitchen on one end, and in the center of the building is the dining area, a double fireplace, and a seating area. The living rooms were on both ends. The rooms were all around, so the staff can see the residents easily as they come out of their bedrooms. I'm assuming the supervision and care would probably be very good. There's more space, and it felt more open.

I really liked Haciendas and its rooms, activities, and park in the middle where they can go. The rooms were big, and the staff was friendly, but they didn’t take pets.

We decided on Haciendas at Grace Village. The rooms are very large with bathrooms that include a walk-in shower, all tiled. There isn't a hallway, which makes it seem like one large home with a kitchen at one end, and patio on the other, and bedrooms on each side of this long area. The setup is ideal. They have an excellent chef who makes healthy meals that look tasty. They also make special meals for her. The staff is excellent. They have tai chi three days a week, decorate for the holidays, have two therapy dogs, do arts and crafts, and plant flowers.

The staff at Haciendas at Grace Village is really good. The place was really clean, but the thing I didn't like about it is just the price. It's pretty much unaffordable for my mother-in-law. The staff looked like they had a good menu. It's just really nice to go out there to the patio. It looked pretty good. Even the bedrooms had their own showers in there.
