This facility is a nightmare. During my visits, I witnessed the staff members show little attention to the residents/patient, and they often served cold meals during mealtime. If the resident refuses to eat the cold food, the staff states the resident is noncomplying. When you called to check up on your loved ones, you often get rude responses from the workers. Some of the staff at Cornell Care are nice, but there a few that have a lack of professionalism or have no empathy for the residents or the visiting guests. The facility appears dark, cold and unfriendly. If my parents were still alive, I would never consider Cornell Care.

My wife was given the greatest of care and attention at Cornell Hall Rehab Center during her stay. Everyone did their job with professionalism and courtesy.

My godmother has been in and out of this facility over the last few years, and it seems to have gotten worse. Staff not too helpful and not to friendly. Residents don't get the care and sympathy they need. My cousin has complained that the food is horrid and complained and the staff questioned his culinary ability (he has been in the industry for 30 years)

today i tried to speak with the physical therapy department Ms. Anna answered the phone. she may need Front Desk training or spoken to by management. I see I'm not the only one complaining about her telephone skills. I know they can do so much better if they all try. For along time I haven't been happy with their service.

This facility is descent. The nurses there are consistent and they do what they can to help. Since my mom became a resident at this facility, I saw some progress. This nursing home is clean, and my mom is always clean when I visit her. Although its hard to get a hold of the social worker, and speak to the nursing manager, when I visit they normally make time to meet with me, and provide me with updates regarding my mom. I appreciate this nursing home, although they are not the PERFECT nursing home, I think they are much better than most.

While a HANDFUL of employees here are kind and extremely helpful, more often then not, they are not. People with more stubborn personalities or difficult disabilities tend to be neglected. The staff of the different wings in this facility have vastly different priorities. And this can lead to a rapid deterioration or rapid healing. Getting to know the staff is EXTREMELY crucial. Some employees are spiteful and will be cruel to your family and friends for even the slightest wrongdoing done to them.

Hi. Cornell Hall of Union NJ, is, in my opinion, a good nursing home. The staff is so kind and considerate of their patients. Very nice atmosphere for patients to be in. The patients have all kinds of activities and holiday parties. The patients also, make lots of friends that seem to be very, very friendly. This facility overall, is the best that I have ever seen. The patients are free to go home with relatives for a visit and a short extended stay with their loved ones, from time to time. The facility is cleanand the air is fresh. This is a plus because, I have visited other nursing homes and I can tell you that when I walked through the doors, immediately, I was overcome with bad smelling air. But this place, is not like that at all. This nursing home, keeps their establishment, very clean. I'm really very happy about this.
