My aunt is a resident at this beautiful community. We were all concerned at how auntie would adapt to her new home and if she would make friends. We could not be happier with how living at Arbor Terrace has transformed my aunt into a vibrant and active happy person. We could not be more excited!

Starting our search at Senior Living Communities near my father in Westfield I had the opportunity to tour Arbor Terrace Mountainside and was so impressed with the community as a whole. Made the hard decision of who to entrust with caring for my father that much easier

The facility is beautiful. And the first few months of my dads stay here was very good, as they helped him adjust to his. new home. However, as my dad and his wife declined, I felt that the attention he received also declined. I ofter saw the aides sitting around talking amongst themselves, and not interacting with the residents. There was one nurse who was unpleasant and disrespectful, and I had to bring it to the directors attention a few times. I don't believe it was handled correctly because her attitude didn't change. My father's wife was very thin and she was weak, due to her illnesses. I often watched her struggle with walking with her walker and no aides offered to help her. Ultimately she fell int he dining room and fractured her hip. That was the beginning of the end, After an operation and rehab, she came back to the unit but needed help with her food being cut up. The nurse refused because she said they didn't have enough staff to do that. She also gave me wrong information and said I needed a doctors note. It took me several days to get the doctor and the head nurse to do what needed to be done. By that time had significantly declined and the nurse told me I should call hospice to evaluate her. Two weeks later she died. During those two weeks they staff lacked compassion, concern and were not helpful at all towards me and my father. It was a nightmare. They didn't even come in and check on them while I was there (many hours). I was heart broken and moved my dad as soon as she passed.

Arbor Terrace Mountainside was the most beautifully decorated place. They had a beautiful cooking area with beautiful countertops and beautiful decor. It had really cool modern pieces all around. The wall hangings and everything was just spectacular. It was gorgeous inside, and everybody seemed very nice. They had a beautiful room with a TV and a nice porch. It was kind of high on a hill, and the porch overlooked the busy street outside. The food was very good. The lady who toured us around was nice, as well as the chef.

Arbor Terrace Mountainside was beautiful. The staff was great. The people associate well together. I didn't get to try the food, but I got the muffins, which were good. There wasn't anything I didn't like about the community. The prices were reasonable. They had a lot of activities going on. The people were very happy. Some residents were exercising. They were doing different things. Some were watching a movie, and there were some women in the card room playing. They weren't doing the same thing, which was nice because you could choose.

This community is absolutely gorgeous. The apartments are spacious and the common areas are very nicely decorated. My tour was pleasant. Staff was very friendly and my tour guide was very compassionate and informative and the nursing staff seemed to be very attentive from what I was able to see during that time. I liked that there was a happy hour with live entertainment happening when I arrived as adequate social activities is a big part of my search.

Arbor Terrace Mountainside was not a good match for my mother. It's a pretty facility. It's new, but definitely felt like a nursing home and not like a community. It was clean. The person who showed us around was fine, but I immediately knew it was not the right place for mom, so I didn't stay very long. We didn't go to the dining room because I didn't want to waste their time, and I knew this was something that was never going to work. The place was very small, and there weren't a lot of people. I was worried that my mother wouldn't have a lot of socialization because a significant number of the people that were there were in memory care. It just wasn't the right fit. If you needed assisted living, it was a nice place.

Arbor Terrace Mountainside was very light and airy. It had very new decor. The staff was very nice. They had a flashy brochure. They offered a container of probably four muffins for me to take home with me to try. Their rooms were nice. They all seemed to have light. Everything looked new and updated. There were people eating in the cafeteria, and there were people watching television on the main floor. They had an arts and crafts room, and there were something going on and people were doing stuff. The staff were very nice. When you go in, you have to check in before you can proceed to a room or anything, so that was good. However, I don't think that the muffins were that good. It was a nice gesture, but I don't think they tasted good at all.

My grandmother lives at Arbor Terrace Mountainside. We initially picked it because it was new and beautiful. But I have to say that while the community is gorgeous it also provides a wonderful quality of life for the residents and that is what we have really come to appreciate. They did an amazing job of keeping the residents safe over the past 18 months. There were very few cases of Covid and when there were we were immediately notified. The staff is warm and welcoming and my grandmother has a wonderful group of friends. I would highly recommend Arbor Terrace!!

Arbor Terrace Mountainside was perfect, but I didn't get that casual, informal atmosphere for my father. The activities were good, but he's more of a basic person, so I think that the other one just fit his needs more. At the time, there were too many women, not enough men. I didn't see the rooms because they didn't have what I wanted. They had a room where you share and I know my father wouldn't want to share. Realistically, it was too expensive. The facility was very, very high quality. The dining area was very nice, clean, well organized, and there were lots of food. It was an all-day restaurant, something that the people are interested in. They had movies, exercising, interaction with people to talk about everyday news, and things like that. They also had other things like painting. It was an exquisite place for what it is.

My cousin, a resident for over 9 months, has done extremely well at Arbor Terrace after a very shaky start. I feel that she actually enjoys being there and speaks very highly of the employees attending her. Her room is cheerful, full of light and spacious. Before moving to AT, she was looking very thin and gaunt and now is eating properly, bathed, and her needs are taken care of. As a family member, I am extremely pleased at her success there.

I recently toured Arbor Terrace for my grandma and thought it was absolutely gorgeous. The staff was lovely and all so friendly and outgoing. The residents seemed genuinely happy and active. And the property itself was the perfect size, and we’ll taken care of. Sadly, their memory care is full (clearly they’re doing something right!) but hoping something opens up soon!

Arbor Terrace Mountainside is a beautiful, clean, and well-design facility. My mom has lived in the memory care section for over two years and the attention and care have been beyond my expectations. Activities and meals throughout the day with staff that really care and respect the residents.
