My wife was at Jewish Home. The facility itself is outstanding. Each person has their own room. The majority of the nurses are excellent. The majority of the non-professionals are very good. However, the food is not good. I also experienced some confusion in my billing. They had activities. They had bingo, and it was very well attended. They had professionals to perform music, comedy, and magic. They had a beauty salon and a large wellness rehab room. The parking was good.

I am very disturbed that I left my Mom for respite at this place which was recommended by a vna nurse. She stayed for almost two weeks. The floor in her room was not washed the entire time. She was not able to take a shower because they only had cold water. She was dismissed when she called for help, because they thought she was "self sufficient" at the age of 85. I would not recommend this place. It would not give me peace of mind to leave any human here.

The gross level of negligence and incompetence in the facility is terrifying. My father sustained a fall injury resulting in a deep tissue injury with extensive bruising to his sacrum and lower back with an open tissue wound as well as bruising to his right forearm. The Jewish Home of Freehold NJ did not notify me, his emergency contact, nor his POA of his fall until after he was discharged from the facility and arrived home, despite me being there with him at the facility from 12pm and signed my father out of the facility on discharge at 1:50pm to his Nurse. At that time no one informed me of this fall. The facility took no measures to ensure his safety. My father has progressive parkinson's disease and advanced dementia, who is bed bound, requiring complete care, who was grossly neglected at this facility while admitted under hospice respite care. In the four nights he was there multiple complaints were filed to the director of nursing throughout the stay. Beginning with the admissions assessment where my father was visibly agitated and the nursing concierge Annie entirely disregarded our concerns when we specifically stated that he is an extensive fall risk. The facility refused to apply mobility rails in place to assist with safety due to "inability to apply rails as it's considered a restraint", so in lieu of bed rails they still never applied bed alarms nor mats beneath the bed to ensure his safety. This was assured to my mother, prior to admission by Raquel admissions director, however was never implemented. She expressed this concern several times to several team members at the facility on date of admission however was completely disregarded. There needs to be an investigation into this facility, as this should have never occurred, and should never occur to anyone's loved one moving forward! DO NOT PUT YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!

A fantastic short-term rehabilitation physical therapy center for our dad after his recent accident. Raquel in admissions to his care team were amazing. A beautiful facility that provided professionalism and a personalized treatment plan. Thank you! The Mirandi Family, Freehold NJ

My father is in the Jewish Home for Rehabilitation & Nursing right now. It's clean, the staff is good and they've been very attentive. They've helped my dad a lot so I have no real complaints. They do a good job. I have seen the rooms and they are very nice, very clean, and very comfortable. I have not tasted a meal there but the one complaint that he pretty much has is that he does not like their food. The place had been referred to us and my coworker's father had been in and he was very happy with the program. That's how we got there. They have lovely spaces where they have seating areas for the clients. They have a lot of activities but for my dad, it's been primarily physical therapy. They have a full gym downstairs that he's been going to. They have a calendar, so they have all sorts of exercise activities, and arts and crafts. He has not been partaking in those, but they've got those. The only deficit is probably food. It's clean, it's good, it's wholesome but it just doesn't have any flavor as what he said. They don't use a lot of seasoning and stuff, so there's not too much flavor to it. Other than that, I can't say anything bad about them. It's a total value for money. They've kept my dad safe, they've taken good care of him medically, they've made sure that he eats properly, and they make sure that he gets a lot of the physical therapy that he needs. I would have to say they're terrific.

Jewish Home is a fairly new facility. They've only been open for three years. It's very clean, and the people were very friendly. They have activities, a lot of amenities, and services in the building. They're very attentive and know what's going on. They answer your questions, and if they can't answer them, they find someone who can.
