One of my grandfathers is currently at The Huntington at Nashua. It's a beautiful facility. My grandfather has lots of friends and lots of people that check in on him from both the staff and the other residents. During COVID, I tried to call as often as I could because a lot of the residential living places had restrictions about staying in rooms over the last two years. What I thought was really beautiful was that a lot of the residents were calling each other and just talking on the phone. Even though they were two doors down, they couldn't necessarily meet at that time. There are a lot of activities for my grandfather that are both active and passive, which is appreciated. There are community gardens that my grandfather would grow vegetables and flowers in. Currently, they're doing a really, really incredible job at working with my grandfather and my family on a kind of mixed transition. It is where my grandfather can stay in his apartment, but receive a little bit of extra care without having to move to the nursing side of things. It's a gorgeous facility. They have friendly staff, and it's a friendly community. It is a place that cares about its residents. The food is delicious. I went there for dinner last month, and it was great. There are lots of options, too. There are cafe options, sit-down dinner options, and full dining options. For my grandfather's 93rd birthday, we rented a room that was gorgeous. There were people who acted as waitstaff and did the whole thing restaurant style. It was beautiful. I know that they have movie nights and some field trips. They invite entertainment in. Sometimes, they will have a piano player and do a concert. They have a pool for both recreation and exercise. Although it's small, it has one of those water current things that you swim against the current, so you can get some exercise in.

Huntington at Nashua is too expensive for us, but it's a very nice place. It was during COVID, so it was restricted. We went into 2 different apartments. You could open the door and go outside. The staff are showing you around, so they're on their best behavior, which is what we expect. I would say that of all the places we have seen, Huntington would be the top of the line; but of course, you pay for it. We probably cannot pay for it.

We didn't like Huntington At Nashua because it is right in the middle of the city. Our visit was quite quick. It is located near a shopping mall, but it is not the place for us.

We also visited Huntington in Nashua. It is a little less expensive than the other place. It didn't have much in the way green space around. It was too certified for both of us. They were all very friendly. I think we both didn't like it very much, but it is very clean. I think people will have different criteria. The place could be 5 for the right person or 1 for the wrong person.

The Huntington Community was a step up in all aspects from other places I visited. The community was upscale. They have lovely apartments. They also have nursing care for later on in life. I had lunch there, and it was very nice. There were no singular rooms there. They were all apartments or even houses. They did have a lap pool for swimming, a wood working room, and an exercise room. They also had book discussions in the evening. However, the standards are very high for getting in and it was very expensive too. You need to be able to walk in, participate in the activities, and pay a lot of money.

I was very impressed with The Huntington and I liked it very much. It was bright with pastel colors, homey and friendly. It was not dark and dingy. I saw people were enjoying themselves. They were out and moving about. It seemed like the independent people were laughing and having a good time. The nursing and the assisted living sections were very nice.

Beautiful community, warm and my mom was so happy to be surrounded by vibrant, active people she could relate to. Wasn't the "old home" she claimed. Great price for all of what is included. I never have to worry if anything happens to her health down the road.
