My mother is at Hanover Hill Health Care Center. They help her with her medication, and they give her showers. They provide all three meals a day: breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Sometimes it is served in their room, but most of the time it is in the dining room. The staff are very nice. It is probably one of the best places my mother's been to because she doesn't have to do much for herself anymore. There is a nursing staff. If she has a problem, they come in and check her out. It's much more convenient for her right now. The other occupant in the room would be able to have the same size bed. A curtain can be drawn in between. They each have a chair. They share a big dresser and a closet type of thing for coats. They also share a dresser for smaller garments. My mom has a nightstand to put her own personal stuff in. They have peg boards on the side of the wall, so they can put pictures up. There is a TV. The place seems to be very clean. I go there every Sunday to visit her, and they do a very good job cleaning. My mom actually is a pretty tough critic, so when she says the food's good, it usually is. She used to complain about all of the other places she was at. I ask her now, and she says it's really good. There is a bathroom in the room, too. The staff does a really good job. They seem to keep the patients very relaxed, so it's a good environment. They seem to be very, very informative and very knowledgeable. A lot of them are nurses and LNAs. They also have social workers that you can talk to. There is a rehab area. They have a big gym, where they take people if they want to do some exercises or go exercise for their PT. They keep the front yard very nice. Everything is pretty much up to date. I would say it's pretty much what you would see in a hospital. Like any nursing home, they do take a lot of her money from social security.

My mom was at the Hanover Hill Health Care Center and they took good care of her. I was there all the time, like almost every day, and I think they've done a good job. It was pretty homey, and I was satisfied with the care we got. They had a hairdresser and people coming in to do their nails. They also had games, puzzles, and afternoon entertainment, so it was good, and my mom was happy there.

My ninety-five year old Dad has been a resident of Hanover Hill Health Care Center for nearly five months. He entered for ten days of respite care but while he was there a full time opening became available, so we decided to give it a try. We have never regretted this decision. Hanover Hill Health Care has some of the kindest, most cheerful, hard working people employed at their facility. We have found this to be the case on a consistent basis. Recently my Dad came to spend Thanksgiving with us and after eating he announced he was ready to go "home." I smiled!

Overall, we were very impressed with this facility. Every aspect of the experience for our in-patient family member exceeded our expectations, and we were able to have genuine peace of mind that her needs were being met while there. At the same time, we were able to call at any time if necessary and our questions and concerns were answered promptly and confidently with reasonable details, while also respecting and maintaining our family member's privacy and dignity. Some highlights of her stay included the following. The nursing staff exuded empathy, caring and a professional standard of care. The physical and occupational therapists assigned to her rehab were outstanding in their knowledge and their ability to assess and plan for our family member's successful progress in regaining mobility after her injury. The food service was a very pleasant surprise and very impressive to us and to our family member. In particular, she praised the quality, quantity and selections of foods available to her. We recall fresh-baked breads and pastries, and on one visit, prime rib as a dinner entree. All the staff at this facility created a warm and welcoming environment for both patients and their families. Even the front desk receptionist helped to reassure us that our family member was in good hands. Finally, the interior and exterior of the facility were very clean and attractive. Our family member and her son lost spouse/father to Alzheimers, and he was cared for in another facility in an adjacent town. After our family member's experience at Hanover Hill, they both wished that the now-deceased spouse/father had been cared for at Hanover Hill. Additionally, our family member now has insisted that if in the future she requires permanent nursing home care, she will make every effort to request admission to Hanover Hill. We all genuinely highly recommend this nursing home.
