The Arbors of Bedford memory care was phenomenal. It far exceeded our expectations. I think my dad is stronger and better than he's been in a long time. He is back home now. The staff was amazing, and the quality of care was exceptional. He did a lot of social engagements with the residents and the staff there, along with PT and OT.

The Arbors of Bedford was a very nice place and the price was comparable, but they would not accept Medicaid. It was clean and spacious, and the rooms were nice. Even if there were two residents in one room, they didn't look like hospital rooms. The residents were able to go out in the patio areas without having to have somebody with them necessarily. The people that we met there were very friendly and they obviously took good care of the residents. For meals, they said they would be offering two different things. They gave us some very good smelling baked bread when we left.

I went to visit The Arbors of Bedford and I like them a lot, except for the price. But I'm sure it's worth it, because it's a beautiful facility, it looks brand-new, and it's very nice. I only met with the administrator and she's excellent. They focus on memory care, so they're very tuned in to the people that they're serving. They had a beautiful courtyard that was enclosed, so the residents could wander around the courtyard but not be off the grounds. They have very nice common areas like a living room and dining area with a kitchen, and it's very nice.

We toured The Arbors of Bedford yesterday. The whole thing is memory care and the place was beautiful. The inside and outside were very nice. I felt that it was a great place. The director was very pleasant and answered all of my questions. She introduced me to some of the nurses and the staff as well as a few of the residents there. I was able to ask questions to all of them. I didn't try the food, but I did ask a couple of the people, the residents, how the food was and they said that it was really good. They were doing a yoga meditation class while I was there. They were just starting with it and I didn't do the meditation, but the instructor was saying how well it works and how a lot of the people fall asleep right after the meditation or in the middle of it. It was very clean, and pleasant, and it didn't smell. Everybody that was there, the residents, all seemed well cared for and pretty happy.

We tried to manage our mom at home, but it became impossible. We contacted the Arbors and the Executive Director spent a huge amount of time answering all of our questions. Our tour of the facility showed us how caring and loving the staff is. Our mom has been there for a month and she's settled in with a group of about six ladies and they do everything together - gardening club, walking club, cooking demonstratoons, exercise, you name it, she's doing it! We couldn't be happier, thanks so much!

I was so apprehensive when it became clear my dad needed memory care. He wanted to stay at home but honestly, it became impossible to support his wish as his dementia worsened. I didn’t know what to do but the staff at Elliot Hospital recommended the Arbors when my dad was in the emergency room. I am so glad I called! The Arbors staff got my dad to the Arbors fast. I’m so glad that in this still COVID-scary world that I was able to move my dad in and spend a few hours with him to get him settled. The staff has been amazing; two of the nursing assistants in my dad’s unit have been there for 35 years collectively. Everyone from the nursing assistants, to the nurses, to the managers and administrator have been so friendly and welcoming and the communication is excellent! I have the managers’ emails and cell phone numbers and I can’t believe how accessible they are, truly. I don’t abuse it but it’s so nice to reach out and get a timely response. When my dad was in rehab, I never got a call or email back from anyone. Amazing place and so much better than I imagined.

The staff is incredibly caring and informative. My father has settled in to his new companion suite. The Arbors staff did a wonderful job matching him up with his roommate. The staff, and Maggie the canine embassador, welcome me every time I visit. My dad feels at home at the Arbors, and I do too!

In my experience, I have known The Arbors of Bedford to be a warm, caring and friendly community. Staff members are dedicated and committed to the safety and well-being of its residents. It is comforting to know that my loved one is cared for and treated with dignity each day. At the Arbors, patients always come first. I have seen staff set aside what they are doing at the time and stop to listen to a story, tell a joke, offer assistance, share a smile, sing a song or just hold a hand. A grateful family member

My dad was a resident here at The arbors. This was the most wonderful place for him! I have never been to a facility where people were so warm, caring, welcoming. The nursing staff, the caregivers, were absolutely amazing. You felt like you were part of a family and you were going to someone’s home. The facility itself is amazing with Lots of light, big windows, beautifully decorated rooms, again, it felt like you were in someone’s home! I loved going there to see my dad and visit as often as I could with my dad along with becoming friends with some of the amazing residents he shared his time with..Sadly he recently passed away, not because of Covid, but because of some health issues. He was extremely happy there, made friends with the residents and had a great social life, And did a lot of the amazing activities that were offered daily to the residents.I felt like the caregivers, the nurses and the residents All became friends to me and part of my family. I can’t say enough good about this facility and all the people that work there. They truly are part of a family and the care they give all of the residents is absolutely amazing. I’m so very happy that my dad got to spend his elder days here ! I would highly recommend the Arbors to anyone who is looking to find a home for their elderly family member!

Care is horrible. You can't depend on the staff to do even the most basic things like take dentures out and clean the rooms and bedsheets. The food is not healthy or nutritious. They never offer fresh fruit or vegetables. Mostly pasta and dessert. My feelings are that these facilities are money grabbing at any cost. They also mark your loved ones as attending activities when they are not. Plan to be an advocate 24/7 for your loved one if you want them to get cared for.

Poor Staffing, lots of falls, poor meals and it is all for a Profit. What you pay for a loved one to live there one might as well hire HomeCare. A dog pound takes better care of their animals than this place does the Elderly.

This place is the worst! Staff lack the proper training to do their jobs. There are a few special LNAs and nurses, but most are too burned out and don’t care about the residents. The building is old and in need of upgrades to their heating and cooling system, phone lines, cable, and internet. Cooling and heating is a major safety issue and temperatures in the resident rooms can be unsafe. Food is not great. A lot of processed and canned food and no fresh fruit or veggies. Concerns and complaints are not addressed and all you get is lip service. It is a full time job to advocate for your loved one to receive proper treatment and care. I would look for any other place before going here.

The Arbors of Bedford seemed appropriate. It is clean and laid out nicely. They also have an engaging staff. They are set up basically in two wings. One wing is the memory care and the other wing is the assisted living. Within the wings they have set up what they call neighborhoods where they dine in smaller groups. The neighborgoods also have places for activities. The facilities are quite adequate.

My mother was here for 5 years and they provided great care for her. It was a very difficult decision to move my mom from her home of 30 years but it was no longer a safe place for her. The caring and knowledgeable staff guided me through the process and let me know of all the available options. We decided to make the move and couldn't have been happier. I came across this site while doing some research for a friend and felt compelled to write this as the care and compassion was that good and I will definitely recommend this facility for her mom. By far the best place in southern NH for alzheimers care.

My Dad has been at The Arbors for almost six months now. I am so impressed with the warmth and concern of each member of staff, with their obvious affection for the residents and with their genuine desire to keep them (and their families!) happy. The place is beautifully designed, clean and there is a good mix of activities on offer every day. The food is not what I would like myself, but Dad enjoys it a lot and I think most people in his age bracket expect and prefer the sort of standard American food which is served. All in all, I recommend The Arbors enthusiastically.
