Connect55+ Londonderry is a very beautiful setting with gorgeous rooms. The rooms have lots of room in them. Their two-bedroom places are excellent. They are completely furnished with a refrigerator, stove, dishwasher, good kitchen area, large bedroom, and a good sized den. They have several activities every day of the week that they do for the people that live there. We went in one of the rooms and we couldn't hear anything from any of the other rooms or down the hallways. It was a very, very quiet place. It was very nice. We went into the activity room, which was very large, and they were doing bingo there. No one knew us, but all the people in there were saying hi to us. They were very friendly. The cleanliness was excellent. There was no trash anywhere. The carpets were freshly cleaned and the room was undergoing maintenance. That's because they're fixing it up so it has a walk-in shower. It's absolutely beautiful and the staff was excellent.

I gave them $900 for application and wait list fee. I was told twice they had a place available. Then I never heard anything. I left message asking for the status. Nothing. I spoke to someone who said they would send the uncashed check for $800. Still waiting. I am disappointed. This was a few years ago.

The Grand Estate at Londonderry 55+ Community is apartment style living. They have a lot more activities. I don't remember all the activities, but on their calendar for the day, they probably had in any given day about five, or six, activities. The layout was very nice. It was very, very nice. We liked the size of them and everything, but they were farther away and they were on a busier highway, so they were like 20 plus minutes from my daughter's house and on the highway to get to my daughter's house. The Grand Estates were more residential homes, I mean, it was beautiful because it was quiet, it was a very quiet place for walking and stuff would have been very, very nice, but it seemed like someone was away from shopping and stuff. They have a common area, they have exercise, and a library. They had a pool table, pool darts, that kind of thing, and they had an area that they considered a bar, but they don't serve liquor. They had a movie theater. They don't have a lot of staff, we met the maintenance men in the facilities because they were actually repainting, and getting ready for tenants to move in.
