In 2013, I broke my leg, and then I had surgery. I did rehab at the Ambassador in Omaha. I was there for about a month. They were helpful, yes. They helped me do all kinds of things. They helped me dress, eat, shower, go to the bathroom, do some physical therapy, those kinds of things. I had a private room. It was comfortable and came with most of the amenities you might expect -- a TV set, hospital bed, a chair and stuff for visitors. The food was OK. The dining room was a big room with many tables. They had, I believe, tablecloths on the tables. It was clean. The nursing staff was good. One thing was that I could not go outside without someone with me, and I thought that was a little restrictive.

My dad was in The Ambassador for about two weeks. It was clean, and he liked the food there. The worst thing was the kind of care he received there, and there was no security in the building. My brother-in-law was able to walk in and they never had his name on the register as being there. Also, when they sent my dad to the hospital after he broke his ribs, they left his dentures and glasses at their facility. Unfortunately, it was just a comedy of errors. My dad was very agitated, confused, and paranoid, but I think they did the best that they could with his care. In the room itself, he got out of bed one time and went to get something out of an armoire that he had his clothes in, but it wasn't nailed to the wall, and he almost pulled it over on himself, so it was not very safe. But it was very clean, and Medicare took care of the cost.
