My aunt was a resident of St. Joseph Villa Nursing Center. She's happy and satisfied there. The staff was friendly and caring. It's a clean, bright, and cheery place. They had a great variety of activities and the food was excellent.

My father is in St Joseph Villa Nursing & Rehabilitation. It's clean. The staff is kind to the residents. They have good food and a pleasant dining experience. There's also activities that my dad enjoys. They have a lot of employees that have been there for a long time, which is nice because they feel like they're invested in the facility.

St. Joseph Villa Nursing Center wasn't very bright. It didn't have a real happy feel, but it was OK. It was just not the type of place that my mom and I felt like my dad should go into. We didn't feel like there was that much interaction with the residents. Hector was OK, and the place was very clean. It didn't smell bad or anything like that. The facility itself looked great and nice.

I was POA of my friend who was 96 y/o. The staff treated her and loved her like an old friend. She ended up going hospice and I was moving out of state. They kept me in the loop and informed. I was able to see her on video. I checked out several nursing homes before I moved her. They are very conscientious there. Thank you to all the Staff that took care of her! It is greatly appreciated.

My brother is in St. Joseph Villa Nursing Center in Omaha. He says they give him good care. They've all had their shots now, so they are able to assemble with safe distancing, of course, and I suppose masking, too. He's able to play his ukulele. He also plays other instruments like banjo, guitar, and clarinet. He says the food is excellent. He brags about the food all the time, and they bake a lot of stuff. He is not private pay, so it's hard to find a place that will take him because all he has is Social Security. He doesn't have any other money. He has a roommate, and there is a curtain between the two of them. He's by the window, and he can see out, but of course it's cold there, and it's snowy, but his family can come and stay outside and see him. He has a big-screen TV, and he has pictures on the wall. He's as content as he can be. We'd like him to have a private room, but that's not going to happen, I guess. He has occupational therapy and physical therapy there at St. Joe's. They have him walking with a cane now. They have helped him with rehab. He has nothing bad to say about the place. It's important that the food is good, because it's terrible to be in a place where you know the food is awful. I've never been there, and of course if I were there, I wouldn't be able to go in. He's a good person, and he's so complimentary and nice to people, so everywhere he goes, he says, "They're so good to me," so I couldn't really talk about how the staff is.

My husband is at St Joseph Villa. I was very thrilled with it when I first went there. It looked open and had a beautiful carpet and a huge dining room. Everybody was friendly, the rooms were nice, and they're taking very good care of my husband. Anytime they have a problem, they call me right away. The food is awesome, and they get served. The atmosphere seems very light. The nurses are fantastic and don't coerce the people there. The administrative staff is very nice. Everybody has their own television. They have all kinds of exercises to help strengthen themselves. Every three months, they meet with me to tell me their next plan of action, although I can request to see them anytime if I need to. They're very thorough in explaining things. I've called them once a week, and they've been very nice and don't act like they have anything to do, even though we know they're very busy. I really like that.

MY grandmother has been at St. Joesph Villa Nursing home for the past 2 years. Her alzheimer's disease got to a point where my mother and grandfather could not handle it anymore. My grandparents have never been wealthy, and could not afford the nicest of nursing homes. This nursing home is only sub par. The alzheimer's ward is probably the most depressing. The patients live behind heavily locked doors which can only be opened with a key card. On almost every visit I make there is a patient slamming on the doors trying to get out. They are also not allowed outside very often and every patient has a roommate. I remember once attending dinner in the alzheimer's ward. The smell of the food made me quite sick to my stomach and the quality of it was low. While the alzheimer's ward was rather disappointing, other parts of the nursing home are nicer. They have special events on holidays, such as Easter and Christmas, where they host large dinners and parties for all of the residents and their families.
