I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

The care that Montclair Nursing and Rehabilitation Center provides seems to be fine. But our loved one doesn't like the food there. You can never get a hold of the staff when you call. He's in a private room and it's fine, the room is okay. They do take good care of him. My suggestion for them is since they're hard to get a hold off when you call them, they need to fix that.

I am a friend or relative of a current/past resident

My mother is currently at this place of horror. She is supposed to receive multiple breathing treatments daily but barely gets once a day. They have tried giving her someone else’s medication that wasn’t even on time for the refular patient. The staff is savagely rude and inconsiderate. It is like they are there to simply watch the patients die. Tonight she was nauseous and needed help for the bathroom. No one responded tonher calls for almost 20 minuets. Finally an Aid happened by and helped her. They do not record medication given as they tried to give her the second if a series of shots twice! This place is death for anyone who is looking for anything remotely related to care. My mother has documented everything that happens with physical and electronic means. This place needs to shut down or go through a complete rehaul before they literally murder someone.

I am a friend or relative of resident

My Father fell and broke his neck at Montclair, because of short staff. They, then put him back in bed and just left him. That is how I found him a couple of hours later, with a bump, the size of a baseball on his head. I had him taken to the hospital, where he passed away, a few weeks later. We filled suit against Montclair, only to find that they had filled for bankruptcy. I see that they are still going. Avoid this place, like your loved one's lives depend on it....They do.

I am/was a resident of this facility

I was recently a patient at Montclair for my rehab needs following my hospitalization and loved it. The staff is so friendly and responsive to my needs. No matter where I am in the building everyone says hi with a smile. The facility is always clean and odor free. I would recommend the facility to all my dear family and friends and will definitely return if I ever need therapy in the future.

I visited this facility

The staff are complacent and the turnover rate is high. My father was supposed to be under 24 hour watch as he was a fall risk. They completely missed the fact that he was so sick from an infection caused by a bad cathitor that he became septic and his breathing had slowed down to the point that he was only recieving 70% oxygen. No, my father did not recover after being discovered by my mother and being rushed to an ICU. If my mother had not visited him that day and discovered the condition he was in herself, he would have died from their negligent care. There will be legal action taken. DO NOT SEND YOUR LOVED ONES TO MONTCLAIR.
