I saw several apartments that was empty. A lot of people had moved out. I saw dead and live roaches. Do not move here if you are allergic to roaches which I am. The hallways was so dirty. I didn't put a application in because of this!!

The rooms are spacious. This residence is very dirty, laden with roaches and staff provide no assistance to residence needing assistance. They appear to be trying to do better as of recently, but too little too late. No activities have occurred to my knowledge. No regular cleaning of rooms, entryways and hallways.

My relative is in independent living. The food is awful. My relative has cockroaches in her apartment. Told his problems to fix. Bats in the stairwell this summer. Carpet is filthy. Holes in walls from repairs months ago. Stopped taking people to grocery store. Use to be someone at front desk , every day, now only 2 days a week for 2 hours. Do not put anyone here if you love them. It is awful and disgusting. Staff?? There is none It is a slumlord place. All I want from the management is for them to fix it!!!

My grandmother lives in independent living, where there is no longer anyone at the front desk. They are served one (1) tiny meal a day. Is paying for services stated in a contract that are not being followed through. This community is very dirty, Understaffed, and shows a grave lack of concern for its residents. Wellness checks are no longer taking place (someone w/o family could be dead for who knows how long). Besides Covid-19, there have been numerous bed bug outbreaks as well as scabies. No regular cleaning people and the air conditioning and heat are turned off an on months after they’re needed.

I have a family member staying there and the conditions inside are regrettable. This is an aging facility and the current management is not maintaining it well. It is rundown, dirty, and has cockroaches and bed bugs. Management is not exterminating the insect problem and I have to be very careful not to bring these bed bugs home. The food is bad and they seem to be under-staffed. Look elsewhere for better care

Family member is a resident of the assisted living, poor care to the point of neglect. Bed bugs, not cleaning up vomit or checking on individual who has become ill and vomited. Not giving bathing and washing bedding, when did wash bedding did not return and family member had to sleep in chair because bed was not remade.

Skyline is fine except that they're short-handed about half the time. The facilities are old, but they're trying to renovate the place slowly. The food is terrible. The size of the room is great, but compared to the newer ones, they are smaller.

I don't know what others have seen at Skyline but my experience was totally different!! The people that live there are very well taken care of and the place looks very nice and clean. The entrances can be confusing but once you know your way around its not a problem at all and definetly no reason not to send your loved one there. Our loved one was recently there for a rehab visit and there care and rehab was top notch. The new owners have really started to turn the place around. Its nice to have a facility in the Benson/Omaha area that offers great care. We don't have to send our loved ones all the way across town to receive quality care. Thanks for all you did while our mom was there!!

I would not give this place ANY stars! This living community is dirty and it stinks! I visited the garden level, which is where the dementia residents live, I seen not one but THREE roaches in the hallway by the visitor restroom. There does not seem to be enough staff and the ones there have bad attitudes. When leaving the building I had to go back through the ambulance entrance where there were numerous call lights on but yet I walked past an empty room that had 3 staff members sitting in and talking. DO NOT place your loved one there!!!

Skyline apartments are large. But the place is a little rundown, and it's showing some wear. A lady, named Abby, is wonderful. She's very upbeat and very helpful. They have games, different card nights, musical activities, root beer float afternoons, and Wii bowling. But the place needs to be updated. Needs fresh paint and fresh carpet.

Skyline Retirement Community prides itself in peace and calmness, but after visiting the site I can see that their vision is just a pipe dream. Everything about the facility is loud and obnoxious. The staff is noisy and you often see groups of them chattering in the offices and hallways, ignoring patients and residents and laughing like they aren't even working! I tried to get information on the facility for a family member and I was looked at like I was stupid. Apparently they don't have time to waste on those not actually living in the quarters. I was not happy with the way things were handled. Completely ignoring the fact that the staff was rude, the rooms were way too small and the corners were sharp enough to hurt someone not paying attention. The entrance was difficult to get to and the parking was minimal. I would not recommend this center to anyone!

This is a fairly sprawling facility"”offering independent living, assisted living, and skilled nursing. This review concentrates on skilled living"”where the care, response time, follow through and set-up are all wanting. The feel is older and more hospital-like than many similar facilities. There are hallways with small shared rooms, with only curtain dividers for privacy. Even when outside caregivers are onsite, the staff is not helpful or responsive to residents; this leaves cause for concern about what happens when outsiders are not present. It's relatively clean, although sometimes has odors. There seems to be a big difference in the look and feel of the place from where the more cogent to the least cogent residents are housed, with the more cogent getting more and better attention. The residents don't seem to complain about the food, although it's the standard nursing home fare"”bland and unimaginative. There is a calendar of events with the usual activities"”bingo Wii, memory games, but there doesn't seem to be a particular level of outreach. While some staff members are good and caring, there's a feeling that most of them are going through their shifts and the motions, without particular care or concern. Call lights are sometimes ignored while the staffers congregate and socialize. The staff also generally shows a lack of compassion and empathy as far as respectful end of life care. Medicaid is accepted. Private pay rates are around $5,000 to $5,500"”about average for the area.
