My mother-in-law has moved into Highgate at Great Falls. It's very clean. They have very caring staff. They have some beautiful flowers. They have a courtyard for the residents. They take them on outings. They try to keep them busy and involved. They have happy hour at 3:00 on Wednesdays. They do cooking, too. They went for a drive the other day for about a half hour out of town. The food was very good. The common areas were very clean and safe. They have places to sit. They can sit in the sun or the shade. There are different kinds of plants and stuff.

We toured the Highgate at Great Falls. My sister and I appreciated the professionality of the communication executive there. She was very friendly, open, and directed our conversations to things we needed to talk about; my mom's needs, her medical needs, her daily living activities, and the things that she can do for herself. And then she talked about the various apartment type living situations that people are living in and how different residents have set up their apartments for different things. And then she took us into several different apartments with the permission of those residents to see how they had set up the furniture to make it a home type of thing and different ways to do that, the accessibility of the bathroom, and just the monitoring. And then, of course, one thing that was pretty unique to this Highgate facility is they've implemented an electronic system where, it's a video system, kind of a sensory system, where if the resident goes below two feet or something, it sets off an alarm, and then they send someone to check it out while the other person up in the office activates the video to see if that person might drop something on the floor looking for it, or they have fallen. It just sounds really remarkable that it shortens the time on getting those people help, it just makes it quick; the ones who are falling and getting them to the hospital or discovering that there was one gal was praying on her bed immediately. So, that was important to us. And then they have lots of activities, various activities from daily devotionals, to exercise, to different crafts, food, and cooking. It's a real pretty place. They've got the ground's looking really, really nice with flowers, and it's well kept. They have to have a lot of windows because I think it feels like it's not an institution, that it's, apartment assisted living. The apartments looked good, they looked clean, bright, and a resident can change it up and make it different.

My mom moved into High Gate Senior Living at Great Falls because it's the one that had a room available and she ended having to go to memory care. It's been working out quite well. I haven't seen it. We never got to see the rooms because of the COVID, but every interaction I've had with her caregiver, and they're by phone, have been great. My mom also has a friend, a close friend that keeps an eye on things that lives up in Great Falls Montana. Between the two of us we've had nothing but good interactions with everybody there. Their handling of the COVID issues have been great, they're very responsive. I was able to see from the outside because they told me we were not allowed in. There was one week when they tried the visiting in the lobby but then they had to stop that too. The only time I see her is if I take her to a doctor's appointment when I'm there. It's not really a good situation no matter where you are. I appreciate the responsiveness, and compared to other places that I've heard about, I think they're great. They have activities provided to the residents, although right now they're limited. They were doing more activities for the memory care because of the issue of keeping the residents locked in their room. Keeping them locked in their rooms is difficult in memory care. They were, for a while, doing socially distanced type of activities and they have an app that sends text every day and tells you which activity your loved one is taking part in. You have that so you know what's going on. My mom took part in the activities and when I talked to her she didn't complain. Some things she would just watch and other things she would do, like baking cookies in the morning. I didn't visit this facility until we were ready to make a decision, so I just made everything via phone calls. They did send a video of the inside and her room before we made a commitment, and I thought it was nice.

Covid has been tough on everyone, but more so when you can't spend time with your loved ones. The staff at Highgate in Great Falls have worked so hard to keep their residence connected with everything/everyone. Last month my daughter graduated from college and the ceremony was of course virtual. I provided the care partners with all of the information and they went out of their way to set it up so a very proud grandmother to take part in her granddaughter's special day.

We had a terrible experience at a Bozeman facility and when a slot came up in Great Falls, dad was moved to Highgate Memory Care in Great Falls. We continue to be impressed with their high level of attention, competence and care. Every one of his caregivers have gone above and beyond and have the skills to redirect dad when he is spinning his yarns or exhibiting exit seeking. We as a family truly appreciate all of the Highgate employees professionalism and I would not hesitate to recommend the Great Falls facility.

Mom has been very happy with the service she has had at Highgate. it was really important that she have a balanced meal not just carbs due to her diabetes. Highgate has done pretty good most of the time with ensuring mom eats a good meal. They do a great job of monitoring her status and mediocre at letting family know when she has fallen or had an injury of unwitnessed origin. Mom has had opportunities to go on outings when she feels up to it they also take her to her hair appointments at her hairdresser. It is very important for family to stay involved with their loved ones and advocate for their independence.

The staff have been wonderful with my grandmother: very caring and patient. The food has been excellent with a wide variety of choices. The staff has been able to get my grandmother to participate in numerous activities. The horse races and exercise class are some of her favorite things. Those activities help her physically and mentally. I would recommend Highgate to anyone I know.

My dad has lived at Highgate for a year now and he likes it. His room is pleasant with a view of the mountains and has enough room for him to move about with his walker and wheel chair. The staff is very good to him and take an interest in his life. When ever I call, they are helpful. Dad likes to play bingo and does take part in other activities, but not as much as bingo. They have special events for holidays such as Veterns Day. The food is excellent with a great menu to choose from. Dad has gain a much needed 10 pounds since he moved in.

When my father first moved to Highgate there was a choice of 2 entrees at the evening meal. I thought that was a great amenitie. I am sure it is due to cost and maybe some waste, do to the fact seniors appetites are less then normal. It is fantastic facility and the staff is over and above .

I am very impressed with the staff at HIghgate. We have had some issues, but they have been resolved in a very caring, loving, and respectful manner. I feel that I can approach any of the staff that might be walking by or at the desk and they can answer any questions or get the help we need. They have been very accommodating as far as furniture in dad's room and making him feel safe and well cared for. I am so thankful that when there is an event, they will go and get dad from his room so that he can come and enjoy the festivities. He may not come out on his own if they didn't make the effort to go and bring him out. I think it is great that they offer an outing each Monday, Wednesday and Friday. I don't think my dad has taken advantage of it yet, but I hope he does in the near future. They were kind enough to take my dad to his regular barber for a haircut and that meant a lot to dad.

My husband, Allan, has been in The Highgate Memory Cottages since June 12, 2014. I didn't want him in any other facility as several years ago, when they opened, I was with a company that was involved with the opening. I LOVE everything about Highgate. The Staff and Care Partners are the most caring I've seen in other Senior Living Facilities in Great Falls. I wouldn't want Allan anywhere else. He's happy and that's what counts in the long run.

My father has been living at Highgate for about 4 years. At first he was angry and upset that he could no longer live in his own home. With kindness and patience the care givers drastically improved my father's way of life. He has made many friends and he truly enjoys all the activities Highgate has to offer. This year he moved into the Cottage and adapted very easily. The care team keeps him busy with the same activities he's used to and he feels very comfortable with everyone there. As his daughter I am comforted knowing that he is safe and receiving the best care possible. Dad and I both recommend Highgate Living to all our family and friends.

The staff have been so very helpful both to my mother and myself. All of the staff seem to go out of their way to give assistance to either mom or the family. The food is very good. They have a wonderful activity list always. We are very pleased with having chose Highgate for mom.

The staff is so attentive and compassionate with the residents and their friends and family members. Highgate does feel like a home environment. I was shocked by the amount of the monthly bill compared to what was discussed during the initial fact finding stage. I guess I should have expected that it was too good to be true but due to time constraints, there was no way to back out. More time should have been spent on both sides to present a clearer picture of what to expect. The actual move in process was a bit fuzzy for me, personally. I feel the family member could also use some hand holding as to what to bring, getting familiar with the facility and scheduling time to visit without conflicting with a group activity. I should probably request a meeting with the care partners myself because I know that they are more than willing and able to help us make this transition work.

Very pleased with Highgate. Have both parents living together there. Lots of activities, like that they often come remind them that something is going to start soon. They like the meals very much, although they think that some things are served too often & that there are foods that they never have.. We like that most of the staff knows us by name & know who our parents are, & usually know where they are at too ! Always warm & welcoming there, They are taking good care of our dear elderly parents & they are happy.

My parents are in Highgate Senior Living. My dad needed the memory care. And she chose to live in the memory care, but they have now figured out that dad is not all that bad. I think they're going to move them to an apartment on the other side. It's been working out excellent. They've been very flexible. My parents are together, and that's their goal. It's very clean and very attractive. I'm very pleased with it.
