Mom is at Sweetwater Retirement Community of Billings and so far we've been very pleased with everything that includes the amenities, the services, the staff, the cleanliness, and just the friendliness of the staff. My interaction with the employees has all been positive. Mom has been happy with the food that they've provided. You are welcome to dine with your loved ones there and they prefer that it's prearranged. Mom has a two-bedroom apartment. It's nicely sized and we've stayed with her at the beginning and they were fine with that until she got adjusted. They publish an activities calendar monthly and weekly and usually there are multiple activities every day. Pretty much any of the activities that the residents can participate in, the visitors can as well. We're also pleased with the rate that they're charging us.

I had the opportunity to spend a week visiting a resident there. I stayed in the guest suite which was clean and very comfortable. I was impressed with the friendly, caring staff. They took a real interest in my friends well-being. I was especially impressed with the quality of the food prepared by Chef John! Delicious meals! I joined a group playing bingo which was just one of the many activities they offered. I would have been very comfortable having my parents stay here. They provide excellent care!

I had a good feeling about Sweetwater Retirement Community. My mom will be moving to independent living and if she needs assisted living in the future, she won't have to go elsewhere. She will have one meal provided each day with her rent. I liked all the activities, and the floor plans of the apartments. I had visited five other places and it came down to my mother choosing this place over the other one, because this is a smaller community and she's able to move around if she needs to. Stacy was the lady who showed me around. I also met the nursing staff over at the assisted living area. They all made you feel at ease. The floor plan my mother chose was a two-bedroom and one and a half bath. It has a balcony (so you're able to look outside) and a full kitchen. It's just nice. They have a couple of nice courtyards and a little walking path. I felt comfortable and safe walking there. They have an ice cream parlor, people that come in and do music/church services, bingo, and cards. It seems like they always have some kind of activities going on. They were going to have a gentleman come in and talk about veterans assistance, too. Another thing that we liked was the transportation (which is included in the rent). Mondays and Fridays are for errands day. My mother loves to shop, so she's able to go out and go shopping. Then Tuesdays and Wednesdays are appointment day. If they have a doctor's appointment, they don't have to pay for that. I got to meet some of the residents there. As you're walking around, people seemed to be real friendly and happy. The place was well-lit and clean. It was the place that I could see myself living, so I felt comfortable with my mother being there.

We've been down to Sweetwater. I interviewed the people that I know down there a couple of times, and they're just terrific. We had lunch with them one day, and the food was terrific, too. All the people that live there love it there. I didn't hear one bad comment about Sweetwater. The management is terrific. These people know what they're doing. The nurse is fantastic. She is an older woman and she knows more about being a nurse than a lot of doctors know about being a doctor.

My mom has been here for 8 years. The staff & facility is outstanding. Her apartment is bright and airy, the food is great and the activities are excellent! They always decorate for special days and make the atmosphere so festive. They have special events that Always include family and friends. There is a bus to take residents to and from appointments and shopping. If you are looking for a place for your loved one this is it!!

I toured Sweetwater, and it is a wonderful place with lots of activities and things going on. However, it was higher than what I could afford.
