My sister is at The Landing of O'Fallon. She doesn't seem to be that happy with the food, but I don't know any specifics because when we were there, we just took her out and she ate out. She also doesn't seem to participate in too many activities. But I know she gets her hair done. I went into the salon and talked to the beautician, and she seemed very, very nice. From that standpoint, and from what I can gather just briefly, they seem to be doing things, and they seem to be pleasant enough, but my sister doesn't seem to be interested in crafts and doing a lot of things like that. She had gone to a movie or something once there, and she liked that. All I hear my sister talk about is complaining about the food. Other than that, she seems content there.

My aunt was a resident of The Landing of O'Fallon. She was there for months and our experience was good, but they had a high turnover of their aides. There was very inconsistent staffing. Their facilities were great. They had a lot of activities that were very friendly kind of activities. They had transportation, a library, an exercise room, and physical therapy there. They could order off of a menu. The staff came to the table and then they could order either the special for the day or they could order off of a menu if they did not want the special. So, they had a lot of flexibility for the food.

We've visited The Landing of O'Fallon and we're very pleased with that. The tour was very pleasant and informative. Both the one giving the tour and the people working in that place were all very friendly, and the people living there all seemed happy. The rooms were clean and ample, the studio was ample, so they were not skimpy in the size. They had all the necessary things in them like the grab bars and all the things you would want to see were in the rooms. Some of them were carpeted and some had hardwood flooring, but they're all in good shape. Many of them had refrigerators only, but others had the microwave and refrigerators, they all had the sink and living areas. In many of the rooms on the first floor, you could like put bird feeders outside and stuff like that. The grounds were well-manicured, if you want to go walk around it was a lovely setting with green grass, lovely trees, and benches. They seemed to have activities frequently, one in the morning and one in the afternoon, and then they have celebratory ones like St. Patrick's Day or Valentine's Day where they all gather together and do things. They have a good sampling of activities that would keep people busy as well as entertained. We ate there and the food was wonderful, they had menus so you could pick what you wanted.

I went to The Landing of O'Fallon a year ago. That is a fairly well-run place, but they were fairly new and still kind of working out the kinks. The staff was good, although I was not pleased with their director -- I didn't get along with her at all. The staff listened to my questions, answered my questions, and were helpful when I had questions for them, and showed me all around. Yeah, that's a good group, but they don't have a good leader. They have private and semi-private rooms. You could bring in your own furniture and make it feel like home, and that's kind of nice to be able to personalize it. It was in good shape, and if anything wasn't working, they had two or three men on staff who could come in and fix anything that needed to be fixed, hang pictures, and all that kind of stuff.

I went to The Landing of O'Fallon. I looked at both assisted living and memory care. The people were very nice and caring, and the rooms were very clean. The single bedroom could be a little bigger, but it's still a nice size. They have a room for working out, a chapel, and a walking path.

My grandmother is at The Landing of O'Fallon. They have memory care and assisted living facilities. It has been phenomenal. Her room is perfect, and the kitchenette is so big. She would've loved to have a 1-bedroom, but she can't afford that. The larger studio has proved to be more than enough for her. They have outings to concerts, fair venues, restaurants, parks, all kinds of events and location attractions, and the stores. They've been so creative with activities. They have bought RC cars and they have RC races down the halls for their guests who are not allowed to leave their apartments. Each guest has a chair outside their apartment and every day they have an activity whether it's RC car races, horse races, bingo, or a mini concert at the end of the hallway. The residents come out and sit at their doorways, which is more than 6 feet apart from another. They provide them every day with enrichment activities, and some have brought in their dogs. They've been amazing. She's extremely picky and she has gained 7 pounds since she's been there, so obviously the food is wonderful.

The Landing of O'Fallon is new, clean and has nice rooms. The assisted living side was just too big and my mom would've gotten lost there. Some of the rooms would get very far from the dining room, and my mom would have been overwhelmed. They have all these hallways and that would have confused her too much. The memory care unit though is smaller, self-contained, and our favorite memory care unit. We liked the size of it. You had your own room and you just shared a bathroom with another person. The food was fine. They had plenty of activities scheduled but we don't see anybody doing anything.
