I've been living in Riverside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center. They have physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech. The rooms are spacious. The faculty is extremely nice. The nurses are good. We have a large activity room, a large dining room, and we have a garden area where we have planted a garden. It's just a very homey place to live. The food is home cooked, and it's very good. It's seasoned well, and it's hot. The facility is good and clean. We have bingo, dominoes, skip-bo, and wheel of fortune. We have a library and art class. We have almost six things that you can go through during the day, and you can pick and choose if you want to go to them, and if you don't want to go, you don't.

Riverside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is definitely a safe, warm, caring and loving place that you would want to send your loved ones for a lot of TLC. The Staff from the Regional Director, Admission Coordinator, Receptionist, Doctors, Nurses, CNA's and other Staff will treat your loved one with exceptional care. This is my family's second time having a loved one trusted in their care and we have not been disappointed by anything. Our family is on the journey to smile again knowing our loved ones will be safe and cared for with precious hands. I highly recommend Riverside Nursing & Rehabilitation Center to any family that is looking for a home away from home for their loved one. They also just incorporated a new Memory Care Unit for some of our most delicate loved ones.

If you are looking for an EXLLECENT place for a love one stop looking,THIS IS THE PLACE. I have a family member, that is a current resident at this facility and she love, love, loves it. I knew she would when I took the in person tour. The staff is attentive, friendly, and sensitive to the needs of the both family and residents, it is clean and well kept, and tons of activities to make the residents smile. My love one brags about it all the time. Did I mention the food choices let's just say HAPPY PLATES ......So if you are looking for a place for yourself or a love one, give this place a try. By the way did I mention an EXCELLENT AND PROFESSIONAL STAFF. If I did O well I wanted to make sure you did not miss any key words.

I was impressed at the cleanliness of the facility and the effort to maintain the appearance of the facility. Decore was clean and crisp and tasteful. Staff were so helpful and willing to provide my needs when apparent and made the extra effort to ask if there was anything else I needed. Their care and attitude helped me gain a favorable stay and return home safely. The activities provided for the resident were varied and appealed to many tastes. I especially enjoyed bingo! The amenities offered were varied including snack runs each shift, drink runs whenever necessary and again, various activities for a myriad of residents. I would recommend this facility to anyone who is serious about gaining care and/or rehabilitation. As an aside, the rehabilitation program is stellar and the staff exemplary. Thank you Riverside for giving me my life back.

Where do I start... Getting to this place was a disaster. The transportation they sent broke down. My loved one was so agitated (he has dementia) that I feared he would have a meltdown before we ever arrived, which was supposed to by 6pm. We got there at 9pm. Actually getting into the door was another debacle (it is a secure facility) however there was NO staff nearby. Some random family let us in...which was scary. And to be frank the place looks like a horror movie set especially at night. It is a smelly, dumpy, old, nursing home with no money invested in keeping it up. By the time we got to his room, I was nearly ready to pass out from the mix of urine stench and smoke smell. A TON of the residents smoke and we had to walk by the smoking patio. My loved one was beyond upset. His nurses and CMAs were all kind people who really tried their best, that's why I gave this review 2 stars. I hope they all get better jobs elsewhere. The facility was constantly short staffed, one day I walked in and the licensed nurse on duty was working two halls! That said, I moved my loved one out because of the unexplained bruising and lying about it. I reported them to the state hotline. They claimed he arrived with the 3 massive purple bruises. Since I was there when they did the intake sheet and saw him naked, I know they lied and altered their documentation. Which means I could never trust the admins. (We think he fell out of bed and no one documented it.) In addition, when we did finally move him out they sent no paperwork and handed off to me a bag of medicines for him. Then made it difficult for his new facility to get copies of his records...and told me they sent copies with him when he left. WRONG since I traveled with him out and I know what left the building with him as I was carrying his stuff. Again, lying to CYA does not build trust with families. This place should be shut down by the state for the documentation issues alone. Clearly management is awful and what is worse is many of these residents are veterans of the military who deserve a better place to live. How the administration and owners can live with themselves is beyond comprehension.

This is the most disgusting rehabilitation center I’ve ever visited. The residents were dirty and the facility is old and deteriorating. Not to mention, the filth I saw on the bed side table (top and bottom) of the resident I visited. It was obvious it had not been cleaned in a very long time. She also had food on her face and gown. (She was in this state after her breakfast tray had been picked up) Secondly, there were small bags of trash on the floor of the room across the hall from the resident I visited that were just sitting there. The air quality was poor. The door of the resident’s room I visited was chipping. The roommate’s side had clothing on the floor. Everything was out of order. I am not a critical person so the fact that I'm submitting this review says a lot. I wish I could've taken all of the residents with me as I had the hardest time coping with the conditions while visiting-- it’s got to be horrible to live there. What makes it worse is some of the residents are veterans. There is no way they should have to live in such a deplorable place especially after sacrificing so much for our country. DO NOT bring your loved one here as it is a horrible, disgusting, place that needs to be shut down immediately. I give it - stars. God have mercy on the sweet souls who have to endure such conditions. I could say more, but I digress.

A family friend lived in the facility for almost 3 years during his decline with ALS, also known as Lou Gherig's disease. Our friend was immobile and confined to a recliner chair and was in his room 100% of the time. Some of the staff was consistently friendly, seemed competent, and took very good care of him. Others, especially the night crew, barely spoke English. Many appeared to be in school studying to be a CNA (Certified Nurse's Assistant). While the ones that barely spoke English were often kind and caring, I was always afraid the language barrier might impact the care he was receiving when it came to dispensing meds, etc. The facility is moderate/average. It is very loud, even with the doors closed. It is older and is starting to show its age. It is kept moderately clean. I would not recommend this place for my own mother but I had no say in this place for my friend.
