Three phases: phase I located in an older home, phase II down the road in a large building, and phase III in a new building behind phase II. All three are well-maintained and nicely appointed. Furnishings are good quality. Quality of food ranges from good to above average depending on who is cooking. Residents are generally happy and well cared for. The home has daily activities that include extensive use of arts and crafts. The staff is generally pleasant and helpful. Residents have a wide age range, as young as 18 through 80's or 90's. There are frequent field trips and a yearly vacation. The home sponsors holiday celebrations for residents. Family members are encouraged to attend celebrations. Participation rate is very high. The administrator is very caring and has a hands-on approach. Religious services are available on and off the facility. A high percentage of residents have active family involvement. The facility owner places the comfort of residents above her desire to make a profit (to the point of spending thousands of her own $$$ to purchase multiple personalized Christmas gifts every year for each resident). Most residents have private rooms. Male and female areas are divided. All three facilities look and feel like homes. My son lived here previously with a mental health admission, so I have extensive experience with it. Where residential care for mental health issues is concerned, it would be extremely difficult to do better. This place is definitely among the best.
