Don't ever take your love ones here!! The rooms are filthy! Went to see my mom one day. When I got there and after talking for a few minutes I realized that she had been sitting in her pee all day. It was starting to stream all over the floor. When the staff changed her they never showed her. She needed one for mom stunk from the pee. The staff act like you are disturbing them if you need anything. They would rather sit at the station and talk instead of taking care of the patients!

This facility is terrible. The staff is worthless. My mother had a drs appointment and was supposed to be transported by special transport in her wheelchair. We reminded the nurse 3 times before we went home to make sure the medical transport had been notified and they assured us they had. Next morning I showed up to accompany my mother and no medical transport. They never bothered to call. My sister and I had to take my mother ourselves and she was late for her appointment. My mother has had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come to take her to the bathroom. A patient in a room down from my mother’s fell down on the floor and was moaning and crying out for help. If it wasn’t for me going to the nurse’s station and telling the people there that a guy was asking for help he would have laid there for hours probably

I had my grandmother in this facility for almost 2 years. Everyone was so nice to her. I never worried when we would go home at night, I knew she would be very well taken care of. The nurses were very good about calling the family if they sensed any physical or mental changes she had. I will always be appreciative of the staff

My grandfather just had a stroke and my grandmother got a information from her Independent Living Center on a nearby rehabilitation center. Garden Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center was the closest. This place is HORRIBLE. First of all the beds look like army cots, the staff is RUDE and didn't listen to my grandmothers instructions on what he sleeps in and that he is confused and his right leg was still not completely rehabilitated. So sure enough the next day we were informed that he did try and get up and fell on the floor. We specifically told him that he would do this and that he need to be watched so he didn't try this. My grandfather had not shaved him, bathed him, and his pajamas were still neatly folded in his dresser. The woman occupying the adjacent bed comes everyday and changes her fathers diaper because they don't do that. The next day my grandmother went and she was changing her father and my grandfathers bed sheets because they didn't do that. I read another review that a mother with a low sodium diet was fed CHEETOS for lunch. Also I'm not completely convinced that he got any physical therapy. We were with him during the speech therapist who was there for approximately 10 minutes working with him. The staff was yelling down the hall, cracking jokes, high fiving and being completely disrespectful and unprofessional. This place needs to be shut down - Medicare website gives it a 1 star out of 5, I'm assuming because negative stars wasn't an option.

I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone. It is a beautiful building and grounds but the care is NOT good. Medicare only rates this place one star out of 5 stars. That should tell everyone there are lots of problems and/or violations. I had a family member there that was transfered from a hospital and observed for myself the daily routine. The nutrition is appalling - trying to see a Dr is almost IMPOSSIBLE, it takes a very long time for anyone to answer the light when you need help, and getting medication when you are suppose to take it doesn't happen there. I could go on and on. I would never have any family or friend in this facility. They all need lots of training and enforcemnt to be sure it is being followed.
